I’m often out in the field showing properties or meeting clients around Munich, and I frequently need to check website visitor data on my phone. The mobile version of Piwik PRO has a clunky layout, and some detailed reports cannot load properly. I can only view very basic traffic numbers, which means I have to wait until I get back to the office to check lead activity or popular listing pages. To start with, the current mobile layout feels cramped and disorganized. Many detailed report sections shrink down too much, making text and data tables hard to read. Many advanced page analytics and visitor activity logs are either hidden or fail to load fully on mobile. Piwik PRO’s privacy architecture is the standout strength, and the product clearly caters to regulated industries like healthcare and government. **What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?** We run one of the top 1,000 websites in the world and paid over $100k over two years for Piwik PRO’s enterprise analytics suite. Two years with Piwik taught us one thing: they’re attentive when they want your money and absent when you need their help. When bot/AI traffic began corrupting our dataset and inflating actions beyond our tier, support acknowledged bot volume but largely pushed responsibility back on us (docs, segment it out, mitigate at CDN/WAF). Meanwhile, the commercial response was to treat those inflated numbers as grounds for tier upgrades and additional invoices. Piwik PRO was acquired a few years ago, and it shows. It’s the classic post-acquisition SaaS slide: over our two-year term, account continuity eroded, handoffs multiplied, and responsiveness got worse—while the company’s energy shifted toward bundling, packaging, and upsells. Over two years, we were multiple teams removed from the people we evaluated and signed with — and the “enterprise partnership” feel deteriorated steadily. **What problems is Piwik PRO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Privacy-focused web analytics (GA-style reporting with stronger compliance/data governance). Close to no free tag manager products currently exist, but this product suite has it own tag manager includes, and quite a nice one at that. The analytics product serves as a nice all-round web analytics foundation, which would probably fit nicely with most companies needs. The entire suite of products are getting regular updates, and is therefore growing into a more and more feature rich and stable selection of products in its own right. I would recommend any small and medium size European company to have a look at Piwik PRO, if they are looking for an alternative to Google Analytics, which originates from Europe, but also adheres to European privacy and compliance laws like GDPR. I'm looking forward to see what the future brings for Piwik PRO. **What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?** To me, way to much effort has been used to include features like in Google Analytics (Universal Analytics). A great suite of products like this should not be built as a copy of something else, but should be built as it's own thing, for it to excel "on its own". **What problems is Piwik PRO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Piwik PRO serves as a well-thought alternative to Google Analytics. Built in consent manager if you need it. 4. Free up to 500,000 hits/events per month. 5. The real-time tracker/debugger makes it easy to troubleshoot issues and verify tag changes. 6.
