MySQL hot backup feature.

Parallel and multithreading feature

Incremental backup

Able to take backups without locking the database which improves efficiency.

Able to use cloud object storage (AWS S3) as a backup location which saves on storage costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Percona XtraBackup for MySQL?

Complex initial configuration while setting up the incremental backup and using Cloud Object storage as a backup location.

No proper GUI. Having a GUI will make this tool even more powerful.

Supports only limited database flavours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Percona XtraBackup for MySQL solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ability to take MySQL hot backup solves backup times for huge databases.

The incremental backup feature in Percona XtraBackup which is only available in the enterprise edition.

Able to take backups without locking the database which improves operational efficiency.
