PDQ gives us a great combination of inventory visibility and flexible software deployment. We use it to report on applications installed across our Windows server environment, keep common software current through automated deployments, and quickly build ad-hoc jobs for remediation work. The ability to customize packages, schedules, and targeting makes it especially valuable in an environment with many different server and jump-station configurations. The biggest downside is that PDQ's flexibility requires careful configuration and targeting. Automated updates are extremely useful, but in a complex server environment an unexpected software installation can result in a system being touched unintentionally. More deployment safeguards and impact visibility would be valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
