What do you like best about PayPal Tap to Pay?

Being able to accept contactless card and digital wallet payments straight from a phone, with no extra card reader to carry or charge, has made it incredibly convenient for smaller or on-the-go transactions. Setup was fast — no additional hardware to pair or troubleshoot — and payments settle into the same PayPal balance we already use, so there's no separate system to reconcile. It's also reassuring that it uses the same security and encryption standards as regular card payments, so accepting tap payments this way doesn't feel like a compromise compared to a traditional card reader. What do you dislike about PayPal Tap to Pay?

It requires a fairly recent phone with NFC support, so it's not usable on older devices without buying new hardware. Transaction fees are on the higher end compared to some dedicated card readers, which adds up if you're processing a high volume of payments. It's also entirely dependent on a stable internet or data connection — if the connection drops, you can't process a payment at all, which has been an issue once or twice in areas with weak signal. What problems is PayPal Tap to Pay solving and how is that benefiting you?

It removes the need to carry or invest in a separate card reader for accepting in-person payments, since everything runs off a phone we already have. This has made it much easier to accept payments on the go or in situations where setting up a full point-of-sale terminal wouldn't be practical, while keeping everything settled in the same PayPal account we already reconcile against.
