What do you like best about Pandora FMS?

The most valuable aspect of Pandora FMS is its ability to unify server monitoring, network infrastructure, and applications into a single centralized dashboard. The flexibility of its visual consoles, along with the versatility of combining lightweight agents and remote checks, has allowed us to consolidate tools that were previously scattered into a single platform. What do you dislike about Pandora FMS?

The advanced reporting and data export module tends to be heavy when processing long-term accumulated metrics, impacting the interface's performance at times. Additionally, the complexity of certain advanced configuration options requires considerable administration time before achieving a 100% automated workflow. What problems is Pandora FMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Pandora FMS, we managed the infrastructure with multiple tools disconnected from each other. This created information silos and delayed the detection of critical incidents. With Pandora FMS, we solved this problem by centralizing the monitoring of networks, servers, and applications into a single console.

The benefits have been tangible. Firstly, we reduced the MTTR: we decreased the mean time to resolution of incidents by more than 35% thanks to early alerts and event correlation. Additionally, we improved operational efficiency by eliminating the duplication of monitoring consoles, which has allowed us to save weekly operational hours for the support team and the NOC. Lastly, in terms of business continuity, we can now anticipate service outages before they affect end users, protecting the company's service level agreements (SLAs).
