What stands out most is how well it works as a self-hosted reverse-proxy tunnel for exposing services that sit behind NAT or without inbound firewall access. We use it to publish web portals for client-hosted environments, and it handles TLS termination and Let's Encrypt certificates client-side with almost no configuration, which removes a lot of complexity for us.

The single biggest upside, though, has been the support and responsiveness. When we hit an edge case with a slightly non-standard, bespoke deployment on our side, John from the team understood the problem immediately and turned around a fixed build with exactly what we needed within hours. That kind of direct, technical, fast collaboration is rare with infrastructure vendors and made a genuine difference to us.

Honestly, very little now that I understand it well. Most of the friction I ran into came from our own environment having been left on a very old version for a long time before I took ownership - once caught up, the issues largely disappeared. So the lesson was more about keeping it current than any real fault with the product.

If I had to name something, the documentation could go a little deeper for advanced or less common deployment scenarios, and some of the tooling around upgrades from much older versions could be smoother.
