I use Oyster because my experience has been consistently positive. The initial setup was smooth and straightforward, and the web portal has been excellent. It allows me to store all employment documentation in one secure place, and it's easy to access whenever I need it. Oyster solves my problem by acting as the intermediary between my UK employer who pays in British pounds and myself in Germany, handling the conversion to euros and managing all appropriate taxes and health insurances. Their support team has been great with quick, clear, and genuinely helpful responses. When I went through parental leave, all documentation was accurate and handled correctly, and the process felt well-managed. The pay calculations are managed well, ensuring all German employment costs are reliably and transparently handled. The only downside I've encountered is that their ticketing system tends to close tickets quite quickly, and replying to an older ticket doesn't seem to reopen it or bring it back to the team's attention.
