What do you like best about Ossec?

This is an easy to install login monitoring tool, which is very helpful for all organizations for intrusion detection and log analysis. As a personal user of this tool, I like all the features this tool provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ossec?

I personally don't feel any dislike or drawback for this tool because being an open-source tool it provides all features a security professional needs. The only thing to focus more on is implementing a user interface for this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Ossec:

Currently, OSSEC is doing a great job as an open-source tool. In the future, please implement a user interface too; it will be more helpful for professionals or individuals who aren't familiar with the command line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ossec solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a security company, we have to first protect our networks from malicious intruders. This tool basically helps us with log analysis and host-based intrusion detection as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
