What do you like best about ORTEC?

All planners like the interaction with the system. The windows are easy to use.

the results help a lot of departments in the organization.

"Virtual costs" to prioritize distance or labor hours.

Map functionality and Truck Visibility on SAP is great as a validation tool

SAP customizing is different from the SPRO, so you dont need a SAP administrator to change stuff

What do you dislike about ORTEC?

a lot of moving parts inside the parametrization. this also has a lot to do with SAP.

Some route parameters can't be changed on the fly on a Plan, you have to move them before the daily planning.

Since the possible results are made between iterations, you might get to different results with the same set of cases, customers and parameters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ORTEC:

Be sure to have the proper blueprint and the requirements on hand. a lot of the "best practices" go by the specific details of the parametrization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ORTEC solving and how is that benefiting you?

Truck Loading, better utilization of the vehicles. Simplification of the stacks and combination of products in each pallet.

Starting to use the suggestions. Still about 70% of functionality in use.

The use of Pallets by customer or pallets by Product MCG's

Mixed routes with customer pallets and MCG's pallets to reduce the delivery time
