If you are working on Java development with heavy database features, I would recommend this 200%, It is the best in this domain, Yes there are other similar tools but this for me was very helpful, especially on the deployment part i could easily reduce a lot steps that i would have genrally had to do with Oracle JDev, And other things I like are the tools for debugging they are matching the standard requirements and also Oracle JDev is best if you are on Oracle Ecosystem. Now, although I love a lot of things about Oracle JDev, there are a few things which really should be improved first is when I started using I didn't feel it was beginner friendly I really found it complex on all the usage of the tools, but with time things were good. Oracle JDeveloper is most commonly used because it does not incur much expense for the bank, and that's why the bank's procurement team has adopted it.
