How much AB has invested into making the Compliance and Assurance testing world more seamlessly and integrated and now with the introduction of AI apps making things more integrated and faster it will transform how companies will think of audit and testing

Right now the new dashboard needs more refinement in the backend to all of the many different data source AB uses

It’s helping us speed up the process of auditing and testing by providing one central location for all evidence and collections without the broken outdated formulas in a Google Sheet

It is challenging to link several modules together into a cohesive program for managing the various areas of GRC within our organization. Additionally, the tool has a rather steep learning curve, making it difficult to get started.

We use this tool to document our processes, procedures, and risk management strategies. It helps us keep everything organized and accessible, making it easier to maintain consistency and manage risks effectively.

The platform was clearly designed with audit methodology and workflow in mind, making it very user-friendly. I appreciate that control testing and operational audits are separated into distinct modules, reflecting the different ways they are conducted. Additionally, I find it helpful that the workstream function can be used throughout the platform to manage workflows efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

I appreciate the company's dedication to consistently introducing new features and products. However, I find that some of these additions do not contribute much value and instead lead to more confusion. I would suggest that management take more time to assess the usefulness of new features and products before launching them.

AuditBoard has significantly enhanced our audit efficiency, simplified the workflow between process owners and the audit team, and made document retention much more manageable.

We have used AuditBoard for a number of years and find the system to address most of our needs. We receive great support and account management services and the team have always been able to deliver our asks. I appreciate their dedication to training both for the system and in the wider audit CPE world.

AuditBoard is constantly evolving and keeping up can be a challenge. The introduction of tiered availability for new features has added complexity.

I like how auditboard connects all the things I care about in one platform. It makes managing Risk, SOX, and Internal Audit so much easier than using multiple platforms.

In order to fully utilize the tool it takes time to learn it and set it up properly.

Auditboard is helping us stay organized in all of our Audit activities. We can easily plan, test, compile and summarize all our work very easily and all in one place. The built in pre-defined power bi dashboards are well thought out and extremely useful.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I like using AuditBoard because it is user friendly, allows for document retention and helps connect most of our GRC areas under one umbrella. Additionally, it allows for external teams to have access to information we allow them to have permissions to eliminating the need to have our documents uploaded to external portals.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

The biggest hurdle we currently have with AuditBoard is managing user permissions. We were an early adopter of SOXHUB, so we have been using role based permissions and are in the process of converting to teams based permissions.

AuditBoard is helping to serve as a central repository for documents, inventories, controls and risks under the same umbrella, allowing for different areas of the enterprise to collaborate together and have greater visibility into our GRC environment.

AuditBoard is user friendly, quick to implement, and intuitive. AuditBoard is focused on helping teams work smarter and faster and brings innovative ideas to the platform that are inline with industry trends.

AuditBoard is not easily customized and the pricing/contract structure is confusing. Also, AuditBoard pushes self-service model so it is frustruating that I cannot just pickup the phone and talk to customer service member (you must submit a ticket)

Getting our controls and testing out of spreadsheets and into a tool that provides source of truth and reporting.

Ease of use, customizable, easy to train a new hire on platform without too much effort.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

Timesheets - would like to be able to record time by phase.
Dashboards - we have had to create external dashboards to meet our needs in PowerBI.
Scoping - the scoping feature in AuditBoard does not work with our company due to the size and complexity of our company.
Adding Fields - in the issue area mainly, we are not able to organize where new drop downs or fields appear in the form.

Organizing issues and being able to report those issues to executive management (we are able to export to PowerBI to report). Maintaining our RCMs in a very clean and organized manner. Reduction in time for onboarding.

My experience with auditboard tool has made my audit work much easier . Prior to my company purchasing the product, we do everything manually. With audit board,  we were able to automate a lot of process within CCNC GRC team. All my team member love the idea. I have also learned a lot from audit board webinar. Kudos to you guys!

I do not dislike anything! I love everything about the tool. Am still trying to learn the workstation though.

The setup required thoughtful planning, but once established, it supports scalable SOX programmes across multi-entity/process landscapes.

I really like the visualizations in the dashboard functions, it makes it very easy to tailor the data for the intended audience and provide high level oversight for leadership.

Bulk uploading work steps, I wish that there were more fields to populate when performing a bulk upload as opposed to creating records then manually making updates.

Customer implementation process was very smooth, and features definitely help aid in automating the audit process. It is very easy to reach out to get further assistance post implementation

Finding out how to edit templates and certain fields after implementation can be tricky or hard to find resources to search how to do that

We have a centralized audit management platform for audit projects and issue management. Everything is a lot more organized in one centralized platform for test file retention as well.

We managed to save hours by automating and scheduling our risk assessments, as well as the collection of KRIs. The best aspect, however, is the dashboard's visibility and the ability to share risks with ICFR and audit assessments.

We are looking forward to implementing automated quarterly KRI assessments that will run entirely on their own once the initial setup is complete.  In addition we are lacking reporting which is Board ready.

We find this platform easy to use. Our stakeholders find it easy to use. Auditboard has many functions that greatly reduced time to report issue status to the board and management. We love the customizable calculations in the risk assessments.

We have just implemented the OPS Audit and the service provided to guide ours in the design and implementation was great. Our Implementation manager was Knowledgeable  and available every step of the way.

It seems as though you can have limited windows open at one time.

They have provided a more streamlined audit management tool than what we had previously. We are able to automate some requests and issue tracking in the system rather than mange via email.

The layout and look of the platform is clean and user-friendly. Our customer service representative is fundamental to our team's full adoption of the tool.

There are some features (communications and notifications, risk assessment documentation) that I would expect other customers to also require that are not configured nor on the roadmap for development.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I primarily use AuditBoard for their OpsAudits and Workstream. It's nice at how well they align together, creating one convient place to perform audit work. It's one of the first programs that I open on a daily basis and use throughout the day. AuditBoard continues to make updates to enhace the user experiance. The program seems intuitive for management outside of the Internal Audit department.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

Honestly nothing comes to mind. Sometimes I wish we could change a workstep to 'Almost Completed' to indicate that majority of the work is completed besides potentially an outstanding question before it can be submitted. It would provide an easier 'at-a-glance' view of the project progress.

**What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AuditBoard provides us a resource for housing our Internal Audit projects, workstream request for internal and external audits, and audit remediation. We are currently working on building out a controls library.

A couple things that stick out is when adding work papers, you have to add them in a specific order to show up according to your narrative.  Haven't found a way to rearrange.  Another area would be deleting work papers and having to 'check out first before deleting.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I like how easy AuditBoard makes it to document and test SOX controls. Once you learn the system, linking information is simple and intuitive. The platform also offers a vast library of resources, including trainings, guides, and recorded learning sessions, making it easy to find answers or get closer to a solution with a little research.

What truly stands out, though, is the community AuditBoard has built. The platform fosters knowledge-sharing on a level I’ve never experienced before—connecting me with auditors across the globe to troubleshoot solutions and discuss best practices. I’ve interacted with and learned from more auditors through AuditBoard than I ever could have through my local CPA chapter, which speaks volumes about its reach and impact. 

I also like the fact so many of AuditBoard's employees come from the audit industry. They know what I am looking for or to do, and they actually come out with a lot of enhancements based on their experiences auditing.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

AuditBoard does not do the best with letting clients know about issues happening within their system that are impacting users and sometimes we only find out after we submit a service desk ticket in. Examples include times when we could not download our testing documents and this was a known issue affecting multiple customers, yet we did not learn that this issue was being worked on until after a ticket was submitted. Customer support does do well with working with you once a ticket is submitted which is a positive, I just think they could be more proactive.

**What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the repository for all of our working papers. It's our one stop solution to the current year and all prior year work papers becuase you can access it all through the site.
