What do you like best about OpenVPN CloudConnexa?
What I like best is how little infrastructure I have to own. Deploying the connectors was the part I expected to fight with, and it was straightforward — put a connector on the network you want reachable and routing through it just works, including into cloud subnets. For day-to-day remote access that means no VPN appliance to babysit.
The admin portal is the other half of it. Users, groups, networks and which group can reach what are all in one place, clear enough that I’m not digging through docs for routine changes. Onboarding a new hire takes a couple of minutes.
Performance has been a non-issue, which is the best thing you can say about a VPN. Connections stay up and staff don’t come to me saying things feel slow — the VPN isn’t something they think about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The routing model took me longer to get comfortable with than the rest of the product. Networks, routes and access groups interact in ways that aren’t obvious up front, and I got there by trial and error more than by reading — a few access rules behaved differently than I expected until I understood how the pieces fit. Once it clicked it’s been fine, but I’d have appreciated a clearer worked example of a typical small-business layout in the setup flow rather than having to infer the right shape for ours.
