What do you like best about OpenVAS?

OpenVAS is a great free software for vulnerability scans, offering good performance compared to other free tools. Easy to deploy and well configurable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenVAS?

The UI of OpenVAS can be confusing for new users. The options are hidden and not very intuitive. The lack of a more well-developed and organized inventory can also be a point of improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenVAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use OpenVAS for external and unauthenticated scans of critical hosts and firewalls. Using the QoD at 80% brings me good results by reducing false positives and avoiding triage issues. The report standards in CSV, PDF, and JSON are great, with the PDF format being superior to tools in the same niche that are paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
