The ability to visualize timelines, boards, track tasks, and collaborate seamlessly makes managing project much easier.Being able to name and customize different work package types is also pretty helpful for video projects. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** I think the search section could be improved **What problems is OpenProject solving and how is that benefiting you?** I appreciate being able to create accurate timelines for my projects and manage different tasks all from one central location. ### 2. Some features are easy to use and it serves various management environments, especially, and not just software development. My team uses it daily and it has shown results due to the increased control of each active project and the tracking of those in the backlog. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** Its initial setup is laborious, requiring a lot of attention and dedication to tailor it to your project. **What problems is OpenProject solving and how is that benefiting you?** OpenProject ensures that my team and I have a broad understanding of the projects that are in operation, and with the configuration that was carried out, we can divide work topics into categories that align with our roles and projects. ### 3. It is free of cost hance can be easily implemented. Due to its simplicity of code it is integrated easily. As it is open souce, it has large community of customer support. It provides variety of features to customize according to requirement. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** Difficult to maintain. Instead of being free, required hosting cost. Customization requires advanced programming skills. It can be lag, on large projects or on large amount of data. **What problems is OpenProject solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating tickets for each task help us to track the progress. Updating the task status will help in monitoring the status of task and also help in analysis user efficiency. ### 4. OpenProject is super intuitive to use, there is a great online documentation (and personal support) but it is not really needed. I love that you can do everything in OpenProject and don't need any other tool. Even emails are not necessary because you are communicating in OpenProject, that really helps to streamline communication. We have increased our productivity because all information is in one space and you don't lose time going through different systems looking for the latest information. For me, data security was a big factor as we have a lot of confidential data being processed and OpenProject offers secure hosting (if you use the cloud version, otherwise on-premises is of course even better) and they don't share your data. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** I can't really say anything negative, love the tool and its ease of use. **What problems is OpenProject solving and how is that benefiting you?** OpenProject allows me to have all project relevant data in one space. I can collaborate with my team members easily remotely and we have achieved an increase in productivity by implementing OpenProject. On top, it was crucial for me to keep the confidential data that we are processing when managing our projects, secure and this is one of OpenProject's strengths. ### 5. Good user management. It can be installed on-premise and therefore be 100% local. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** Very rigid, its design does not facilitate adoption and does not necessarily lend itself to use in an agile environment. Long and complex skill development for all users. It can be used on own server, without cloud. 2. It's open source and free in standard version. 3. It has very intuitive interface. 4. It's often updated. 5. It has extensive configuration, possibility of custom fields definition. 6. It has a wide range of usage. 7. If offers many useful features: workflows (tasks statuses vs. roles), budgets, Gantt charts. **What do you dislike about OpenProject?** 1. Despite the frequent updates, the software is still buggy. 2. It has only basic system of permissions e.g. lack of privileges on levels lower than a project like on work packages or custom fields. 3. Budgets management is very limited e.g. there are neither margin option nor possibility to use common budget for couple projects. 4. It still lacks a some system of automation e.g. possibility to write some scripts, define own views for all projects at once etc. 5. Working with many projects is very limited. 6. You cannot use custom fields in many features like cost reports or my page widgets. 7. The external API is still underdeveloped. 8. Lack of KPI's, resource management and employees efficiency. **Recommendations to others considering OpenProject:** OpenProject is a good and trustworthy solution but it is only a tool. First you need to define your own needs, create your own processes and then decide if this software can fulfill your requirements. **What problems is OpenProject solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. We use this software mainly to bug tracking, project management and simply time based settlements. 2. With OpenProject we have greater control over our work and responsibility. 3. We have better communication with our clients and inside our team. 4.
