"EBX Delivers Flexible Data Modeling and Mature Governance at Scale"
5/5
What do you like best about ON EBX?

• The data model flexibility is excellent — EBX lets you design complex hierarchical and relational data models without fighting the tool, which matters enormously in insurance and other domains with intricate party/location relationships.

• Workflow and data governance capabilities are mature: role-based validation circuits, permissions, and audit trails make it straightforward to enforce data stewardship at scale.

• The REST and SQL access layers give strong flexibility for integration — REST for transactional writes, SQL for bulk reads — which has made it easy to build custom tooling and even AI agent layers (MCP-based) on top of EBX.

• Match & merge functionality handles duplicate detection and consolidation well, even across large, messy legacy datasets migrated from older MDM systems.

• Strong support for multi-domain MDM, so the same platform scales from Party MDM to Reference Data and beyond without needing a different tool.

• Strong customization capabilities through proprietary scripting and Java API Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ON EBX?

• The learning curve is real — EBX’s data modeling and workflow configuration require solid onboarding investment before teams are productive.

• UI customization, while powerful, can require significant technical effort for non-standard use cases.

• Documentation for advanced REST/SQL integration patterns could be more detaile Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
