"Notepad++ Keeps Our Documents Clean and Properly Indented"

What do you like best about Notepad++?

We are a team of 10 people: 3 developers, 2 directors, and the remaining team members work in HR and Sales/Marketing. When it comes to creating text documents that are clean and properly indented, all of us rely on Notepad++. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

Not just me—many regular Notepad++ users share the same complaint: the updates and patches are released too frequently. I don’t like it when I’m working on an important document or in the middle of coding and an update pop-up suddenly appears. It’s really annoying and breaks my focus. What problems is Notepad++ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anyone who wants to code without dealing with fancy editor settings will naturally prefer Notepad++. For example, we are in the consulting business, working with multiple clients and handling documents in different languages. Most of the time, we’ve found that in Notepad++ the text in those languages doesn’t end up displaying as ??? or other garbage characters. It helps keep the document’s originality intact.
