"Instant AD Alerts and Readable Audit Reports That Save Hours"
4/5
What do you like best about Netwrix Auditor?

Honestly, it’s the alerting that sold me. I don’t have to dig through event logs for hours anymore—if someone messes with AD, deletes a file, or changes a group policy, I get an email right away.

The reports are actually readable, too. When auditors ask for things like inactive users or password expiries, I can pull it up in a couple of clicks instead of writing a PowerShell script. It just makes life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netwrix Auditor?

What I dislike most is the search in my experience. It's kind of quirky and slow for me — when I'm trying to quickly figure out who did what in my environment, I end up having to fiddle with filters a lot, and I can't just do a simple "or" search.

For me, another big issue is that it only runs on Windows and needs SQL Server for my setup. I had to arrange a dedicated machine and a SQL license for my deployment, which made it expensive for my team fast. And since part of my infra is on Linux, it doesn't really help me there.

My initial setup was also a pain. I kept getting lots of small health log errors in my dashboard that were hard for me to diagnose, and I felt like my support tickets took a while to actually get fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
