"Powerful Network Insights, But Steep Learning Curve and Complex Setup"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

We appreciated how easy it was to use Netscout to access information about our network usage and any issues that arose. The tool is capable of pinpointing where slowdowns are occurring, and often makes it straightforward to track and resolve these slowdowns or disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Netscout can sometimes feel overwhelming and complicated, especially if you're looking for a straightforward solution. The setup process tends to be lengthy, and the user interface isn't always intuitive, which can make navigation challenging. Typically, some training is required to fully utilize its capabilities. While it's a powerful tool, this level of complexity might be excessive for smaller teams or for those who only need to handle basic troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One Stop for Observability Solutions"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

What I like best about NETSCOUT’s observability products is that they are purpose-built to fit specific needs without requiring reliance on third-party tools or juggling multiple vendors. Each solution is designed to integrate seamlessly within its intended environment, which simplifies deployment and management. Instead of having to piece together functionality from different sources, NETSCOUT offers a comprehensive portfolio that covers monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance visibility end-to-end.

This single-vendor approach reduces complexity, streamlines support, and ensures consistent data and insights across the entire infrastructure. For organizations looking to avoid fragmented monitoring environments, NETSCOUT’s all-in-one observability platform is a strong fit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The biggest drawback with NETSCOUT’s observability products is the cost. Compared to competitors, the pricing is significantly higher, which makes it challenging to justify expanding adoption or recommending new offerings - such as the OCI solutions - to customers. While the functionality is strong, the premium pricing often becomes a barrier when trying to balance budgets and long-term value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable real-time network and application monitoring"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

One‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ of the things that I like most is the way it shows a full picture of our network and application performance live. Without making any guesses or digging through multiple tools, I can pinpoint the exact location where issues are occurring. The dashboards are very clear, and I can tailor them to concentrate on the metrics that are most important to me. Also, I am very much into the alert system — it gives me a prompt notification if there is a malfunction, thus, there is a great saving of the downtime.

Another thing, I like it is how it is instrumental in problem-solving, thus, I can find out the main reason without support waiting. Our tool, in conjunction with the systems we already have, works well, hence, everything is kept in one place. Also, I am into the in-depth reports which are very helpful when explaining network performance to management.

In general, it is a strong platform that makes the process of monitoring very much easier and less ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

One‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ thing that I struggle with is the fact that it can be quite a time-intensive task to actually set up all the dashboards for monitoring at the very beginning. There are some advanced features that are not very straightforward, so you have to do some trial and error. Sometimes, it could be that alert notifications are a little too much if a lot of events happen simultaneously. The interface is something that could be improved in terms of being more modern especially when you are moving from one section to another. It took me extra time and effort to make certain legacy systems work properly with the new integration. Mastering all the reporting instruments is a process and especially new members of the team will find it challenging. Also, it can be quite costly if you want to have all the features unlocked. However, it is still extremely great to use as a tool for network stability despite these minor ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Proactive Insights and Unified Visibility for Complex Environments"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Data Approach stands out from other observability tools by focusing on packet-level data, rather than depending solely on MELT (metrics, logs, events, traces) data. Its proactive troubleshooting capabilities provide valuable insights into both network and application performance. The unified visibility it offers is especially beneficial for maintaining observability in complex environments, such as multi-cloud or edge computing setups. Additionally, the ability to correlate IT experience with business outcomes allows for a more proactive approach, helping to resolve issues before they affect users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Cost of the Overall solution and the Complexity in implementing it.There is also a steep learning curve as i requires Specialized knowledge on Packet level.

It cannot be easily intgerated with other tools which captures MELT data so unified view might be harder to achieve.

It is also resource intensive as it uses Packet level data which can cause overhead on the systems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
