What do you like best about Myra WAF?

As an EU-based company, full GDPR compliance and data sovereignty were non-negotiable for us. Myra WAF gives us peace of mind because our data remains entirely within European jurisdictions, making it much easier to meet strict NIS-2 and DORA requirements.

The setup was incredibly straightforward. Because it functions as an upstream protective layer via DNS, we didn’t have to deal with complex software installations or local hardware. It started filtering traffic right away without disrupting our live environment.

The preconfigured threat mitigation templates handle the bulk of OWASP risks right out of the box. When a new vulnerability drops, the ability to rapidly deploy custom regex-based rules allows us to virtually patch our apps before official vendor patches are even ready. What do you dislike about Myra WAF?

The custom rule engine is powerful, but it’s proprietary. If you’re migrating a heavily customized setup from an OWASP CRS-compatible firewall, expect to spend some time recreating and tuning your rule sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Myra WAF solving and how is that benefiting you?

Myra helps solve the “race to patch” problem. When new software vulnerabilities are announced, we can deploy a virtual patch through the WAF interface within minutes. That gives our engineering teams weeks of breathing room to properly test and roll out safe code updates, without leaving the environment exposed in the meantime.
