What I like most about MuchSkills is how it centralises employee certifications and training records in a single, easy-to-navigate platform. Instead of manually tracking certificates through spreadsheets, emails, and shared folders, I can quickly see who holds specific certifications, when they expire, and where documentation is stored.
As someone who regularly supports compliance audits, one of the most useful features is the ability to access up-to-date certification records in real time. This has significantly improved my workflow by reducing the time spent chasing employees for documents and manually compiling evidence for auditors. Having everything stored in one place makes audit preparation much more efficient and helps ensure records remain accurate and current.
An unexpected benefit has been the increased visibility into the skills and qualifications across the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area where MuchSkills could be improved is the bulk upload of certificates. During our implementation, we found the Excel-based upload process less helpful than expected, particularly when dealing with a large volume of certificates. Preparing and validating the spreadsheet can be time-consuming, and it still requires additional checks to ensure all records have been uploaded correctly.
The impact is that bulk updates become more administrative than they need to be, especially for teams managing compliance records across many employees. This can reduce efficiency and slow down the onboarding of historical certification data.
A potential improvement would be a more intuitive bulk-upload feature that allows administrators to upload multiple certificates directly through the platform, either via drag-and-drop, batch file uploads, or automated matching of certificates to employee profiles. This would make large-scale certificate management much faster and significantly reduce the manual effort required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
