Moodle is truly a robust LMS. Compared to Brightspace, Bb Learn, and Canvas, it can stand up on its own and do most anything any other LMS can do (and often more). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Moodle can be very UNfriendly to users with extra clicks and lots of scrolling. Changes to the platform sometimes improve issues, and sometimes make it worse (such as the new Moodle 4+ activity icons). Moodle is not always administrator-friendly either. Third-party plugins and LTI/API integrations can be a HUGE headache, and any sort of customization to a theme can take hundreds of hours to do (really, very programmer forward on that).
