I use Modern Events Calendar for my ticketing process and can link ticket orders, process payments, and send invoices, ensuring compliance with German accounting and tax purposes. I particularly like the very flexible and well-controllable calendar views. I can display different tickets in various views and, for example, reduce the calendar to weekly events or appointments. Unfortunately, with Modern Events Calendar, some things are occasionally buggy. For example, certain VAT rates are not always synchronized correctly with the corresponding translation. This can be a bit annoying because it often completely messes up the view. Also, the interface with WooCommerce does not always run smoothly; sometimes there are friction points, and it's hard to see which updates come from WooCommerce and which from Modern Events Calendar. The setup was also a bit tricky. Not everything is self-explanatory, and in the settings menu, it's sometimes unclear why certain things fall under bookings and others under payment interfaces.
