"API simple access and huge language coverage"

What do you like best about ModelFront?

API access and language coverage, including those with exotic writing systems. Unlike translation providers like Microsoft or Google, ModelFront's quality prediction even has full support for customization for niche pairs like Armenian to Swahili.

Developer support has also been good, and Adam and the team can answer my questions as an NLP researcher. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModelFront?

It's a bit expensive for the use cases I need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ModelFront solving and how is that benefiting you?

We built a system to monitor content (e.g. academic fraud), and the content we monitor comes in more languages than just English, so we need to translate at scale (millions of sentences), and we don't have millions of dollars, so we need to use raw machine translation, but can't rely on it without a quality score.

We tried stuff like LASER and OpenKiwi but the accuracy was terrible for our task. COMET is not a fit because we don't have reference translations, this is new content.

The ModelFront API was the first to just provide a score for a translation via an API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
