## Mode Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful and Flexible platform for data driven decision making

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gopi k. | Principal Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode strikes a clear balance between data analysts and self serve exploration for business users. As a principal product manager, I have a clear visibility on how many of users are using my latest release product features. the ui is clean and focus on different role based users. The configurable options on scheduling and alerting is also highly useful. I use it to frequently to to track the feature usage on my platform. It's also available to use organisation wide with SSO functionality solving the problem of ease of implementation

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

On-boarding less technical users is really challenging. it's not really healping for pure drag and drop audiences. Even though it's really easy to integrate with our existing data sources, support from admin is something which cannot be skipped for authenticating the sources.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier we were struggling with usage pattern of some of crucial features that we release to customers all over the globe. Mode made the challenge easy by providing easy query and visualisation features which made our A/B Testing and experimental results more meaningful

  ### 2. Mode review

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Mode?**

its quick
if it is something simple, it is easy

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

many things you cant do, it take a lot of guessing

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

doing dashboard

  ### 3. Super Helpful tool for analysis and dashboard creation ( Updates have made it too slow)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

It is super easy to use, it is online and drag and drop features to creat graphs and dashboards make it super easy and intuitive to use, tableu needs a lot of more knowledge to be able to use while mode makes it super easy and friendly

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Sometimes is too slow to actually run query's which makes it really hard to be efficient at doing analysis,

now even creating raphs takes forever, or even filtering info on the graphics, which makes time super unefficient

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create automated dashboards or anslisis that can be run on the cloud by anyone in the team and can even be filtered out if someone needs to explore further the information making it super easy to use

  ### 4. Outstanding!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan R. | MX Agent., Health, Wellness and Fitness, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I like Mode because it's a versatile tool to use, and provides me with the information required about our customers' orders. The filtration options are amazing. I can filter with the customer's e-mail, name or order number!

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I don't find anything wrong with Mode. It's fast to load, and it's been a great experience using it so far. Everything that I need to find is in one place and it makes everything a lot faster and easier for my daily work routine.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is essential for our daily activities. I use it daily to track the shipments status, and if it was assigned to which shipping partner. It can display unit serial numbers as well which is a really good addition.

  ### 5. Mode - Accesible raw data in the backend of Charts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aasish V. | Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

As an analyst, I find it extremely useful that in every mode chart the Raw data behind the bar graph , the line graph is just a click away and this makes it very easy to look at individual cases from a large dataset and then analyze them on a qualitative basis.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

What I dislike about the mode is that there are no real easy-to-learn tutorials on how to create reports, or creating calculated fields, or creating Charts. and also no tutorials on using the python notebook

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building reports for large datasets again and again on Excel is extremely tiring and monotonous, this could be easily automated with mode reports with just a click on Run now we can get updated reports of everything we want to see, it bridges the gap between Bigquery and MSexcel bringing best of both worlds

  ### 6. Best Platform for Data Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahil K. | Associate Data Science Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

The best thing which I like about the Mode is that we can create visualization and reports from the result of SQL Queries. The best feature of Mode is that we can make different types of visualization in Mode itself, and we don't need any other tool for quick insights.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

So far, I haven't encountered any downside of Mode. But I want to add that the previous logo and font were better than the current one. The query results are exported in a CSV file; changing it to an Excel file would be great.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is solving the gap between writing SQL Query on a different platform and creating visualization on an other tool. In Mode, we can quickly run SQL Query and get quick Insights from the output data through data visualization within Mode itself.

  ### 7. A complete data reporting solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

The ease of report visualizations and report sharing.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

The time it takes for data warehouse changes to be reflected in Mode.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us translate our data into a form that can be digested by other employees so they can make data-informed decisions.

  ### 8. Terrific Experience with Mode

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita L. | Analytics Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode is a handy query and dashboarding tool for creating quick, helpful analytics for our teams and executives. It allows for seamless integration of SQL, Python/R and visual analytics on one platform. Another highlight of Mode is its support feature - live agents are available to answer any questions regarding querying/the UI itself, creating a very interactive experience.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

While most visualizations for daily needs are available and intuitive, some more advanced features offered on other BI tools are still missing on the platform (e.g. clustered stacked bar graphs etc.). Nevertheless, Mode is extremely receptive to user feedback, and constantly evolves to add new features. Pivot tables and calculated fields, for instance, were once hotly requested features that are now available.

**Recommendations to others considering Mode:**

Consider this tool for your organization's analytical needs! It's easy to learn and incredibly powerful.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualization, data querying, dashboarding, generating business intelligence. It's a great tool to whip up a data "presentation" to show trends, elucidate changes, show leaders and laggers, share knowledge, and explore data in general. It's a tool that is incredibly powerful, yet able to generate simple to digest outputs for a broad audience.

  ### 9. Simple and straightforward way to get regular reporting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I like how Mode is super simple to get started and share reporting on data captured in a data warehouse. Once given an accounts I was able to be productive in minutes. Advanced features like the API and the ability to run python/pandas against queried data are nice additions for power users.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Sharing and collaboration on reports is not as robust as "single player mode". There are times where I wished I had more visualizations available but I've been able to handle 95+% of what I've wanted to present.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use mode multiple times a week to generate reports on product metrics and use it to prototype sql-based data engineering (dbt) jobs.
I've got reports setup to be send daily or weekly so I can have a historical set of PDF reports in my inbox in case I want to time travel the metrics.

  ### 10. Good Tool to use with high flexibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuqi L. | Senior Product Analyst - Personal Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

- can easily combine python output with built-in visualizations.
- good for code documentation if your analysis includes different data sources or temp tables.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

- each time you switch from/to a chart, the chart will have to be updated. Will be a pain if the data is large. loading time can be 5-6 mins.
- The processing time will be slow if your data is large. Especially for user-level data.
- The filter function doesn't work if you want to filter the same column with a different method. For example, if you want to include the top 10 products without some exceptions.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

solved the problem that we can combine outputs from both SQL and python in the same report. In the meantime, we get the chance to play around with data with flexibility

  ### 11. A very handy tool for creating dashboards and graphical charts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaustav M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode is quick and feature rich. Mode had usable features like Exploration, Scheduled Runs, sending automated emails, etc.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

While sending an email with output of a specific query, there is no way to limit the emails only when there is a valid output for the scheduled query. For example, if a user wants to receive an email (alert) only when a query has some output, that is not possible currently.

Even if ideally there is no output for a query (which might be the behaviour a user expects) , mode would keep sending emails with blank output.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy visualization of data and scheduled emails related to how our platform is performing.
Mode also allows to club multiple charts in "Report Designer" making it very easy to have a single dashboard view of analytics.

  ### 12. Great platform for reporting and analysis.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh V. | Assoc. Data Science Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I like the ease of use, and it's a great platform if you want to do a complete lifecycle of Data Analysis. In short: It's an all-in-one Platform that makes data analysis very easy.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Although Mode is a great platform and easy to use, one of the major problems is of slow speed when it comes to multiple queries in a report which requires a large data.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem that mode as a platform is solving is that we do not need multiple software and link them in order to make a report. Apart from that mode helps in easy sharing and actions on reports.

  ### 13. Pretty good, in some ways better than Tableau, in some ways worse

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal H. | Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

It's all web-based, so instead of trading dashboard files around, you know you're looking at the most recent version of the dashboard

It's easy to view queries and query history, including the resulting dataset

The dropdown Parameters and built-in Python notebook are nice bonuses I haven't seen elsewhere

Support team is great!

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I still consider Mode a not-super-mature company, so some visualizations can't be done, or customizing labels on visualizations.

Organizing dashboards can only be done at one level, in a Collection. You can't have a collection within a collection. The search bar for looking for dashboards doesn't seem to work, and I can't find all dashboards by one person.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualizing data, seeing trends, exploring datasets. We can monitor how our business is doing. Or visualize A/B experiment results.

  ### 14. Mode Software Review: A Collaborative BI Platform with User-Friendly Interface and Some Limitations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

One of the strengths of Mode software is its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy for users to import data and create reports without extensive technical knowledge. The platform also offers various chart types and customization options, allowing users to create visually appealing and informative information.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

performance issues when working with large datasets on Mode, which can slow down the data analysis process. Additionally, the data visualization capabilities of the platform are not as advanced as those of other BI tools, which can limit the types of charts and visualizations that can be created.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode allows data teams to easily import, clean, and transform large amounts of data from various sources. This saves time and effort that would otherwise be spent on manual data-processing tasks

  ### 15. Powerful, straightforward tool to generate dashboards and reports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlin M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

For the most part, the system is well organized and easy to use. It helps me stay on top of my quarterly KPIs for clients, track productivity and utilization, and I love how the data can generate easy to read charts and diagrams for presentations.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

It's easy to use for those technically inclined. However, I can see how some might struggle when creating more sophisticated reports. Sometimes the reports fail to run and I can't always figure out why, but this may still be part of my learning curve.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me with all my business reviews for my clients and partners. I'm able to present reports on reliable data and build dashboards to review progress and evaluate changes on each of my client's performances.

  ### 16. Great tool for self-serving the data you care about most

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine J. | Senior Customer Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I like the UI/UX of Mode. The "Collections" and the "Favoriting" functionality make it easy to find dashboards and reports easily. I also like to use Explorations to dig deeper into specific reports or charts.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I wish there were a way to add a description for each chart or report. Sometimes my analytics team will build dashboards to support various projects, but at times, it's unclear what I'm looking at. It would be nice to have a description field to showcase what each chart displays and how to use it.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a customer marketer, data is critical for me to understand historical performance of programs and shape how I think about future programs. Mode makes it easy for me to self-serve the data I need to make decisions.

  ### 17. Data for the masses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode makes it possible for ordinary people to generate data reports without sophisticated knowledge of database queries (though someone knowlegeable must create the original reports).

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

It's not the most user friendly software, either for creating reports or viewing the results. However, it's far better than direct queries for most users.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily review numerous aspects of my team's performance so I can provide individually tailored coaching.

  ### 18. Mode is an excellent data science platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

The ability to run python scripts on the output from the SQL interface. I also really like the tab capability so we can run many different SQL queries all within the same window. Then interact with every dataset from they python interface.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Sometimes when I have too many data tabs with too much data, the product runs slow and acts buggy. I'd prefer the platform to give me some sort of memory error, but instead it will appear that the query is running, but the query will never finish until I refresh the pages and realize that the query never started.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Exploring our many different datasets. It serves as a platform for testing out queries and experimenting before putting queries into production on our ETL pipeline.

  ### 19. I'm incredibly satisfied with Mode's user friendly querying

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mathew W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode has a lot of very helpful tools that are excellent for new learners and those who have questions. Mode provides resources for those who have difficult queries and is very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I can't think of anything with mode that is difficult. Maybe the only thing is that if you are using a shared query under specific parameters (say date for example), if you pull up the report it will default to a very old date from a previous run or the most recent date run by another user instead of you.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is used to query data from multiple systems inside of our company and bring them into one place. Mode has successfully pulled in DWH data from our ERP and internal system

  ### 20. Mode Analytics Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep S. | Senior Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

user-friendly design
Sql based Reports
Visual Explorer for easy dashboard creation

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Charts are limited
Visualization features could be enhanced

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualize data and solve business problems

  ### 21. Great tool to query and visualize data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I like being able to create definitions with base queries to keep the queries in my reports cleaner.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I wish I could duplicate a query and its charts into a separate report (vs cloning the entire dashboard or copy and pasting the query). I wish I could more easily organize charts in the report - the drag and drop isn't great. I wish things were more automated (e.g., if I rename a field in a query, it automatically updates in my charts so I don't have to adjust the variable in all the charts). I also wish the charts were a little easier to use or had more options (e.g., two bars + line, two lines + bar)

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding and visualizing customer usage data

  ### 22. Smooth and helpful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hisham D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode has a very user friendly and smooth interface, you can easily navigate through reports and move between reports simultaneously. You also have the option to download your reports and work on them offilne/share with team members which is vey helpful for those who don't have access as well.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

It sometimes is not updated and you have to refresh the version before trusting the data you are working with, need to make sure to check the upper part that tells you when was this report run last time. Sometimes confusing.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode brings me data about my customers pipeline, activation, consumption and subscription. This helps me track renewals effectively, find growth opportunities as well as discuss customer's health score confidently based on data.

  ### 23. Amazing tool for data analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jillian C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode is very intuitive and easy to utilize, whether someone using it is a data analytics pro or just getting started in their data analytics journey. It is an extremely customizable platform and can be built out as much as a team may desire.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

As much as I love Mode and all of the reports it pulls automatically in various visuals, I wish there was a way to export data gathered by filtering the original data. At the present, for many reports I am only able to export/manipulate data without specific variables filtered out.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is helping us create an easy to utilize tool for multiple team members across a broad scope to pull reports and investigate trends in our data.

  ### 24. Enjoy using Mode

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel Javier D. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

In Mode, I find it easy to extract and manage data. I use Mode for my daily reports; we think it's very user-friendly. I do not experience downtime often. It might need a few upgrades, but overall it's a 10 for me.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I think I can think of only very minimal concerns with Mode. One of which is it slows down the loading of data when it is too big to the point where it crashes. But I'm sure this will get improvement in the future.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been helping me more in gauging performance quality and month-over-month evaluations. It's efficient, providing me extra time to work on another project, which helps not just me but the company.

  ### 25. Mode is not so good.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Its user interface it's pretty slick, and its presentation is pretty decent and you're able to find controls pretty easily. Also, while looking for reports, if you have them archived correctly, it's pretty easy to find them.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Unfortunately, something that I dislike it's the loading time when loading a report. You can put in the parameters, hit run, and it will take from 15-30 seconds to load.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode actually helps us out a lot, we have connected Zendesk and our internal database and it provides us with all types of reports that help us out on all the regular operations we handle. From VIP reports to fulfillment reports, etc.

  ### 26. MODE is AMAZING

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenna M. | Merchant Experience Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I love that MODE finds the info I need more quickly than other SQL-based programs, and gives it to me in an easier way to understand. Other programs for data analysis that we currently use do not seem as fast in pulling the needed info.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Sometimes it seems like MODE is pulling from different places than SIGMA and Snowflake and the data does not always seem to be complete but I think that is based on how the query is written.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MODE helps me pull data for the merchants that is not readily available or is too clunky to send without the MODE formatting. MODE is integral in making sure that our merchants get the needed info.

  ### 27. Great data platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I really like the ability to combine the use of Python notebooks and database searches via SQL. This integration gives us the ability to elevate the use of Mode from a data visualization tool to an operational tool itself, allowing us to utilize endpoints and APIs from our own services.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I miss more data visualizations, such as heatmaps, maps with geolocation, and alerts if someting goes off the usual. For example, I use Mode to perform a query on a specific database in the company that updates every 5 minutes. I would like to analyze the result of this query, and if it is outdated or out of standard, have it send me an email alert.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode solved a problem of data access and democratization within the company, as its ease of use allowed more people to access data and analysis, enabling them to create their own. Additionally, by using triggers, our APIs, and Python notebooks, it was possible to develop real monitoring tools with Mode. It is possible to observe a difference between before and after the use of Mode by analysts, as currently, the quality of the analysis is much higher.

  ### 28. Amazing product that should be used by all companies!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis N. | Risk, Underwriting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I love how Mode is very simple to use. It's very user-friendly and data tables are easily accessible. I also love how you don't need to go through hoops to obtain access and Mode is made easily accessible to everyone!

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Honestly, can't think of anything. In my last company I worked for, I used Oracle for SQL and Mode has been much more superior compared to this software. I would continue using Mode as long as its available to us.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Mode to gather historical data to help improve our company's financial products. Whether if its improving the processes, features, or doing Quality Assurance on some areas. Mode has been super helpful!

  ### 29. Easy to create queries and dashboards even for non - developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnim J. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

- Very easy to view dashboards others have created
- Easy to copy data queries and tweak them to your own needs
- It is easy to see what tables are available and what data the hold

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

- I wish it was easier to create new dashboards even if you are not a data analyst
- I wish it was easier to find dashboards that colleagues have made
- Adding AI tools to help make queries would be an excellent addition

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- I use Mode to make product decisions
- I also use Mode to update stakeholders on key metrics
- Reports allow me to consistently share data with stakeholders

  ### 30. Mode is a great metric platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Mode?**

What I like best is to create explorations of the metrics most important to my role. This creates efficiency and convenience for data to be house all in one place. There are many options to create your exploration or to review data sets per the metric being measured. This allows the user more freedom to explore the different options that best fit the user's needs. Also, the platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Areas of opportunity would be the amount of time for data to populate. There is some lag time for data to populate when there are multiple metrics reporting. In the beginning, there may be too many options that can overwhelm the user. In addition, Modes often have bugs that IT may not be aware of. This can cause data/metrics to be skewed.

**Recommendations to others considering Mode:**

My advice to other users is to take the time to learn and navigate the MODE platform. Even though MODE is user-friendly, there are a lot of options to choose from and this can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning. I would recommend also creating your own exploration, especially, if your organization is measuring outcomes that don't not necessarily pertain to your role

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Mode to monitor clinical outcomes, KPI, and data gathering. We use the information to inform our organizational and market goals, actions, and outcomes. We also use Mode to develop a particular dashboard for per-case use.

  ### 31. Reliable, straight forward, and effective customer sevice

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xan B. | Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Lots of reliability in the platform. Rarely experience bugs, and the Mode team is quick to implement fixes when they come up. Also, lots of product updates in the platform throughout our time using Mode.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Sometimes using the visualization options can be confusing, but once you've practiced it, you feel more confident. Though it's a minor thing, it would be nice if there was a way to organize/pin your dashboard collections.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily get info to our clients with Mode's white label embed and PDF exports. With python notebooks in the dashboards, we can elevate analysis and provide advanced functions for internal teams. Mode does exactly what we need.

  ### 32. An excellent Data Visualization Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aishwarya J. | Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

There are many things I love about Mode, easy to use Data Explorer, great user interface, easily combines SQL data with python notebook which I think is the best.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I like everything about Mode Data Explorer, it is just that it takes more time to load if we have large data. But I guess that is there with every software out there.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode solves business problems and helps in looking into the data. Different types of charts help me visualize the data better.
It helps me analyze the sales data and convey the insights to the client. It improved my decision-making skills.

  ### 33. New User to Mode and Beginner in SQL

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jocelyn Y. | Associate - Strategy & Operations, Alcohol, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Ability to create workbooks and keep different but related queries in one place. Also the ability to name queries is helpful for organization too

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Inability to search within results. Sometimes, I am looking for something specific in the cells that are returned, and this is a feature that Snowflake has that Mode doesn't. I also don't like the ambiguity around whether or not Mode has saved small changes to your query. I am still not sure sometimes if Mode autosaves my changes, even if I haven't ran the query yet.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

querying for general information within our company's databases. also looking at performance metrics for different aspects of our bsuniess.

  ### 34. Review of mode (Risk Monitoring)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robbie F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I love all of the detail that is provided in an easily read screenshot. I can basically get all of the data that I need to complete a risk review in a single look at the Mode dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Honestly, there isn't really anything I dislike about mode. The one small nitpick I have is that sometimes my scrolling gets stuck when I'm trying to navigate the page, but it's definitely not detrimental.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us look at payrolls run and various risk tools and metrics that a risk analyst uses on a day-to-day basis at our company. It is all put into one easy to read dashboard.

  ### 35. great functionality and flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lyndon L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode's UI is great for even inexperienced or low-level SQL users. Not only is the coding UI great, but the reporting function is also great. Nearly every graph I could think of was possible to achieve in Mode, with the ability to edit nearly every field I could think of.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

The only downside is difficulty in establishing a single source of truth that other users may reference.

We were unable to take a query from one dashboard and "link it" to another dashboard. To achieve this, we had to replicate the query in the other dashboard, which then requires maintenance of a query in two separate places.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Mode provides easy access to databases, which enables low-level users to test hypotheses and pull analytics without needing higher-level analytics teams for basic questions
- this enables quick movement when working on various projects / hypotheses

  ### 36. In a few short clicks, all my data is right in front of my eyes!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** lalo m. | Senior Medical Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I have one big report that has multiple little reports inside... I can manage 7-8 different areas of the business with just one simple mode screen. I love the way we can find any and all data within minutes!

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Nothing, it's perfect! I wish I knew how to code more so I could make these beautiful lists myself, but I am learning. Mode makes it pretty simple to create though so thank you for that!

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping us find patterns in which we can correct or resolve issues at a larger scale than one patient at a time. It's allowing us to focus on the data to put energy into those fields that need attention. Organization, it is helping me organize everything internally and in our EMR. Ease of use, Its an easy way to view all of my work in one helpful dataset.

  ### 37. Speedy Analysis, Extremely Good Experience!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Presenting reports and analysing the issues using the majority of the data taken from Mode is a big part of my job. It is incredibly easy to use and dependably reliable. It's a nice thing to be able to integrate with most data sources, Mode  makes it simple to get started.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

A dashboard may occasionally take a while to reload or queries may fail. The data cannot be downloaded from charts created with filters applied to the query, we have to modify the query to download the same data.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode makes it simple to analyse data, which aids in identifying the problem's underlying causes and enables data-supported strategic decision-making. Data from various sources make it very useful.

  ### 38. Mode Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curt M. | Clinical Support Team, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Most is one of the best platforms for analytics and data analysis. This platform also me to do my job more efficiently by having the most up to date data which is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Mode doesn't provide real-time data analysis. You have to set it to run at a particular interval ie every 4 hours vs consistent live data. Lastly, there may be issues with delay data carry over at time.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is solving the ability to gather data from multiple platforms rather than go to each forum to look at data. Mode also allows for quick data comparison from these platforms.

  ### 39. Very capable data visualization tool, has a few issues with long reports.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ted K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

- The platform is easy to use
- Reasonably detailed visualization editor with lots of options to customize reports
- Decent report-building tool that allows easy digestion of information
- Allows for extensions to standard SQL with python

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

- Can't create drill-down charts and tables without using parameters/filters and re-running reports.
- Has a few bugs where it won't show the most recent run
- Slow to edit long reports

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Mode to provide insight into the health of our customer pipeline, and the efficacy of pilots. It is allowing us to decrease cost and increase customer conversion.

  ### 40. Great for simple queries and vizualizations, but it gets trickier once the level of complexity rises

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfredo L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

the quick charts functionality. It gets you very far with a simple, but powerful tool. The link between queries and handy vizualization tools is amazing. Security and CX are also nice to haves which work well.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

The notebooks still have a lot of room for improvements. Libraries are not compatible (especially for R) and even if they are, the notebook functionality sometimes doesn't work as an R script or Rmd do.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My analytics work can be shared easily with peers and stakeholders, without risking information leaks with third parties. That is simply crucial and Mode does it well.

  ### 41. Extremely versatile BI tool for hardcore devs and novice click operators alike

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

- a full-suite BI web application platform with key binding-enabled query editor
- front-end editor for custom HTML, CSS, and JS
- Jupyter notebook for python and R extensibility
- liquid templating for dynamic/conditional/looping parameters
- querystring parameter pass-through
- new Visual Explorer release eliminates the weakest link: charting
- groups, collections, permissions, connections, auth management
- run history tracking and GitHub version control
- dbt semantic layer and definitions
- embedded reports on web and VisualForce pages
- report subscriptions, scheduling, and delivery options

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

- love the subway theme but chart labels are not easily readable on all chart types (eg: circle)
- parts of the DOM are not easy to manipulate with CSS (eg: the parameter block)

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data exploration, model prototyping, reconciliation, time to insight, sharing and democratization, web apps for ops

  ### 42. I am satisfied

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jane G. | Manager S&O, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

user interface is very easy to understand. Easy to see the histroy. Can set automation reort which is very convenient. better than sigma

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Speed sometimes can be quite slow. When there are a lot of people are using. I think if it can give user suggestion on how to make mode query shorter. It would be better

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help me to visualize my data on a daily and weekly basis. it helped me save a lot of time. I only need to run several queries it can give me results fast. very efficient

  ### 43. Highly recommend to anyone learning SQL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eli K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

I have been thoroughly impressed with the level of customization and user-friendly interface provided by the platform. The drag-and-drop editor has made my work much easier. Additionally, the platform's analytics and reporting tools have allowed me to easily track and analyze user engagement and behavior, enabling me to make data-driven decisions to improve the user experience.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I'd love more detailed feedback when a SQL query has an error.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode helps me to easily track and analyze user engagement and behavior, enabling me to make data-driven decisions to improve the user experience.

  ### 44. Solid SQL IDE with nice visualization tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bjorn C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

It's easy to write SQL and then get some quick vizualizations done.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

I don't think this is Mode's fault but rather Twitch's security apparatus, but I'll get logged-out of Mode without any indication and so a query will keep "running" for a long time and only upon clicking "refresh" will I be told that the query stopped a long time ago but it appeared to be still running because I'd been logged-out.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to query our databases and how to quickly and easily visualize the data that I'm getting back.

  ### 45. Mode user from the CX/Customer Success perspective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

- Straightforward, clean, and easy-to-use UI/UX (for a non-technical user)
- Meets basic needs and functionality from a Data Analytics perspective

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

- It would be a value-add if Mode gave users the ability to use 'filters' on the report level. At the moment, it is limited to just giving the option to 'sort' by 'ascending' vs. 'descending' order.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Allows us to target select audience members/populations based on certain criteria/conditions to better facilititate our current workflows.
- General data exports from our database base on criteria/conditions.

  ### 46. Great experience with Mode despite some minor inconvenience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson T. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Fast querying run time and flexibility to incorporate python code and/or visualizations into dashboards. In addition, it offers a lot of flexibility for explorers.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

Minor inconveniences when it comes to formatting the visualization (e.g., fixed week start day, some axes can't be changed, quick table calculation can't be filtered)

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding business metrics and how they are moving, and deep dives into ad hoc requests about our business. Mode's simplicity and fast query time make it easy to explore and visualize data sets.

  ### 47. Great experience using Mode

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riya D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

having a column for all the tables present in a connection present while querying has been very useful for finding what I need to query for. It also has been very helpful with syntax. The ui is also intuitive and very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

No auto-save feature which has led to me losing my work a couple times.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode is helping me find insights in the data we are using. It is also very beneficial when investigating issues related to the database.

  ### 48. Great product for Analysts and Scientists who rely on visuals for show-casing their findings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aurochit P. | Senior Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

The SQL and Python IDE is extremely intuitive and easy to use. I like the flexibility of also using liquid for parameters.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

The automated schedules cannot be personalized or labelled based on parameter names.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode allows in creating actionable reports and dashboards that are used by a variety of the teams at the company. As we store all of our data on a database, it is very efficient in fetching the data for us real-time with each report.

  ### 49. A nice lightweight alternative to Tableau

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Easy to write queries and visualise data during my development flow.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

There are quite a lot of small quality of life features that can add up to a bit of a clunky UX. As a couple of examples, I would like to be able to double click fields to add them to the rows/cols. Often reordering values doesn't quite work.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mode allows me to visualise data as I am exploring it. It is also a reasonably good tool for sharing dashboards.

  ### 50. Easy to use and doing some one-shot analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mode?**

Mode is easy to use (if you know SQL requests) and to set up some reports. I'm using it to do one-shot analysis or prepare my SQL requests and reports before adding them in another dataviz tool.

**What do you dislike about Mode?**

By doing a lot of different SQL requests, it can become harder to organize and find the previous requests. I often have to clean up the folders in order to be able to find again my requests.

**What problems is Mode solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's really useful when you need to analyze a database without having to review your data process, you can directly go in Mode, do a request, create reports and see if the analyzis is useful or not before implementing it.
