## Microsoft Whiteboard Reviews
  ### 1. Simple And Convenient For Everyday Collaboration If You Are In Microsoft Ecosystem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaleem A. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

What I like most is that it gives our team a shared space for technical discussions without adding much overhead. We use it in solution design sessions, integration planning, ETL workflow discussions, and sprint retrospectives, where explaining ideas visually is often quicker and clearer than writing long messages or juggling multiple documents.

Since most of our collaboration already happens in Microsoft tools, Whiteboard fits naturally into our meetings and is easy for everyone to join. The ability to sketch workflows, add notes, and get input from multiple team members in real time has made many of our planning conversations more focused and productive.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

The main limitation I’ve noticed is that larger boards can become harder to manage over time. Some of our architecture and integration boards stayed active for multiple weeks and eventually accumulated a lot of diagrams, notes, and discussion points. Once they reached that stage, locating older information or moving between different sections wasn’t always as smooth as I would have liked.

Overall, it works well for day-to-day collaboration, but teams working on larger projects may want stronger organization features and better board management capabilities.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we started using Whiteboard, many of our design discussions, planning notes, and implementation ideas were scattered across Teams chats, documents, and meeting recordings. That fragmentation made it harder to keep everyone aligned, especially when several people were working on the same project.

Whiteboard gives us one central place to map workflows, talk through integration approaches, capture meeting outcomes, and visualize technical ideas as the conversation unfolds. Keeping everything in a shared workspace has reduced misunderstandings and made it much easier to pick up where we left off, without constantly digging through old messages and documents.

  ### 2. Sweet Design, But Too Basic and Not Quite Polished

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonidas R. | Network Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

The design is pretty sweet, and the performance is quite good. We’ve used it in a few meetings in the past, and it’s a really good idea with a solid concept.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

I think it’s a good idea, but it’s not good enough yet. It feels pretty basic. When I used it in the past, it seemed good at first, but after a while you start to notice there are other tools that can do it better, even One Note. It should integrate with Teams, like the calendar does, and that way it would be much more helpful.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing. I use other tools for brainstorming or sharing ideas. I think it’s good for teaching, but for sharing in meetings it’s not that great.

  ### 3. Great for Technical Visuals, but Lacks Built-In Meeting Capabilities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

The best about Microsoft Whiteboard is its ability to create fantastic visual representation of technical things

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

Dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard is now a days all the live meeting applications will have feature similar to whiteboard but whiteboard does not have meeting capabilities inbuilt.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Microsoft Whiteboard solves for me is creation of complex technical diagrams for my business requirement document.

  ### 4. Draw Anywhere, Anytime with Microsoft Whiteboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa K. | Customer Care Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

I like that with Microsoft Whiteboard you can draw on your mobile device or desktop.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

I wish there were more tutorials on tricks.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed something that would allow me to make it read-only so others could not edit.

  ### 5. One of My Favorite Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

Whiteboard is so flexible I can use it across all of my classes, both live and asynchronously. It gives me the ability to illustrate concepts, add documents, add images, and even create post-it notes on the board.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

I could use some more pen options and maybe a recording feature within the whiteboard.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach classes both in person and asynchronously, and Whiteboard works well for both. In person, I can use my Surface to project the Whiteboard, enabling me to be present all around the classroom instead of having my back to my students. Asynchronously, it enables me to mimic the classroom experience for online students and provide lecture material they would receive in the classroom.

  ### 6. Would only recommend if you don’t have the budget to get anything

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

Providing a space to collaborate with participants quickly during Teams calls. Providing a whiteboard tool that won't cost an additional charge.

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

Microsoft Whiteboard is a great tool to make simplified notes and share among teammates and colleagues; we can use it as a learning base, share content, write and discuss among teams across the places, and sync in real-time to keep updated about recent events happenings inside the organization.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?**

When two or more people are writing or sharing the content simultaneously over a whiteboard, one can see only one piece of data at a time; there can be an option to view minimized tabs of all the notes the user can select an account to view. An additional step can be avoided whenever we need to go to the main page and toggle.

**What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the whiteboard during our internal and external calls within teams to make notes and share with the other groups.
The whiteboard is accessible and very collaborative; it helps us to keep the other team updated with the help is notes and reminders made on the task and project updates.
