What do you like best about Microsoft Whiteboard?

I’ve mostly used Microsoft Whiteboard in team discussions and brainstorming sessions. It’s especially useful when we need to explain a workflow, sketch an application flow, talk through an automation approach, or simply capture everyone’s ideas in one place. Sometimes a quick drawing communicates the point far better than trying to describe it only with words.

I also appreciate that multiple people can collaborate on the same board at the same time. In Teams meetings, everyone can add notes, draw diagrams, and make edits as the conversation moves along, rather than waiting for one person to present. That keeps the session more interactive and helps ideas develop in real time.

For quick planning sessions and technical discussions, it’s a tool I can open and start using right away, without much setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Whiteboard?

I don’t have any major complaints, but once a whiteboard gets very large—with lots of sticky notes and drawings—it can become a bit difficult to navigate. I also wish there were a few more formatting and diagramming options, especially for more technical discussions.

What problems is Microsoft Whiteboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

It’s especially helpful during discussions where ideas need to be visualized quickly. Whether I’m explaining a testing approach, sketching an API flow, talking through automation architecture, or planning sprint activities, it’s far easier to draw everything on a shared whiteboard than to try to describe it all verbally.

Because everyone can contribute at the same time, meetings feel more collaborative, and it’s easier to capture ideas before they get lost. I also use it to document rough concepts early on, and then turn those notes into proper documentation later.
