This integration ensures no tasks are forgotten by converting chat messages into Jira issues instantly, which greatly enhances our workflow. One of my favorite features is the automatic issue card that appears when someone posts a Jira link in Teams, providing instant context with details like the summary, assignee, and status. Adding the Jira board as a tab inside a Teams channel is also incredibly beneficial, granting the entire team real-time visibility of project progress without needing extensive Jira access or training. This capability is especially valuable for stakeholders and QA who might not be deeply familiar with Jira, as it gives them insights without additional learning curves. The main downside is the notification noise. If the settings are not configured properly, the integration sends too many updates for every small change, which can be distracting for the team. It takes time to fine-tune filters for only important events. Sometimes user permissions between Jira and Teams don't sync smoothly. For example, a user might be able to see the Jira issue in Teams but still has to open Jira to make certain edits. The initial setup is not very intuitive.
