What do you like best about Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management?

The easy to use UI that allows us to see the data lineage and its features like different attributes of data, its sources and transformations that have been made on the data before a certain state. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management?

As of now the tool is very new so it is very Microsoft Centric. If this tool can cover popular data tools by other vendors, then nothing like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a data engineer, I work with different data platforms and create pipelines to curate data for business requirements using data factory, synapse and azure databricks. Microsoft Purview helps in data governance by estabilishing data lineage and provides data discovery features to the consumers of my data pipelines like data scientists and business analysts. If they want to see what transformations I have applied and what tools I have used, they can check the data lineage also it reduces my workload by making sure people can make sense of the data on their own.
