What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for IoT?

The agentless deployment is a game-changer. Being able to gain immediate visibility into OT, ICS, and IoT environments without needing to install software on legacy or sensitive devices is incredibly efficient. The deep packet inspection (DPI) capabilities and the way it maps out the entire network topology automatically provide a level of clarity that is hard to find elsewhere. What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for IoT?

The initial configuration of the on-premises sensors can be somewhat technical, particularly when dealing with complex SPAN port configurations or specialized network hardware. Additionally, while the integration with Microsoft Sentinel is excellent, the cost of data ingestion can scale quickly if you don't fine-tune your alert filtering from the start. What problems is Microsoft Defender for IoT solving and how is that benefiting you?

It bridges the "visibility gap" between traditional IT and unmanaged IoT/OT assets. It helps solve the business problem of shadow IT and unsecured legacy hardware by providing real-time threat detection and vulnerability management.
