Recommendations to others considering Mezereon:
If your current search and filter app is only doing a handful of the things you need, stop settling for "well, I guess we don't really need that functionality..." and install this app. There's a 30-day free trial, so you got nothing to lose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Mezereon solving and how is that benefiting you?
After re-platforming from Magento to Bigcommerce, we found out that the native search functionality wouldn't work for us pretty quickly. After trying the top-rated apps in the app marketplace, we weren't thrilled with the results. They all would handle about 50% of the functionality we sought, and if we wanted anything customized, we'd just get told, "It is what it is," since it was a one size fits all app. The last app we tried was the Mezereon Search and Filter app, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. We've been using the app for about two years now and have never run into a situation where we couldn't get something to work the way we wanted. Some key features we can't live without that are offered:
- the ability to extend functionality outside of category/search pages to areas like brand and custom landing pages
- the ability to manually sort filter values via drag and drop (you can also hide/rename values after the data is indexed)
- advanced filter grouping so we could use different layouts across our wide assortment of categories (our product category count usually reaches 500+)
- the ability to customize the page markup that gets delivered to the page instead of relying on expensive javascript overrides (we have a lot of custom fields that need to be displayed in the product grids)
- an organized view of the product index that can quickly be sorted via any property for easy weight assignments
The pricing is also way more reasonable than the other big-name options, literally over half the cost in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
