I've been using Mentient for about six months now, and what stands out first is the coverage. It monitors brand conversations across Reddit, news, forums, blogs, review sites, and social networks, all in one place. Before this, keeping tabs on how Quilter showed up online meant piecemeal manual searching, and plenty slipped through.
The real differentiator for me, though, is the AI assistant monitoring — tracking how your brand comes up in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. That's what got my attention initially, and it matters more every month. My clients are management consultants: people who research everything, and who increasingly ask an AI assistant before they ask a human. I had no visibility into that side of things before. Honestly, not much. Six months in, nothing has caused me real problems, and I'd rather say that than manufacture a complaint. If anything, the harder part has been on our side — deciding how to act on what we find — rather than anything wrong with the platform itself. If that changes as our usage grows, I'll update this.
