What do you like best about Mentient?

The coverage. Mentient monitors conversations about us across Reddit, news sites, forums, blogs, review sites, and social networks — and, the part that got my attention, AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. That last piece matters more every quarter. When a prospective partner or journalist wants to know about a company today, they often ask an AI assistant rather than search. Before Mentient, we had no real way of knowing how we were being characterized there. Having all of it in one view, instead of periodic manual searching, means we're working from a much fuller picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mentient?

Honestly, nothing significant. Six months isn't a lifetime, so ask me again in a couple of years, but I can't point to a real problem — nothing broken, no surprises, and coverage has matched what we expected. What problems is Mentient solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fragmented, reactive brand monitoring. Before Mentient, awareness of online conversations about Fnality depended on manual searches and word of mouth — we'd find out about threads or articles long after they'd circulated.

Mentient consolidates everything into one standing view across Reddit, news, forums, blogs, review sites, and social, so we hear about conversations sooner and catch ones we'd otherwise miss.

The bigger draw for me is AI assistant visibility. Prospective partners and journalists increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity about companies rather than searching. Mentient gives us visibility into how we're being characterized in those answers — something we previously had no way of seeing.

As CEO, the benefit is context: I go into client, partner, and communications discussions knowing how we're being framed, instead of finding out after the fact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
