## MedStack Reviews
  ### 1. MedStack is a great compliant solution for those who do not have a secOps/depOps expert.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua D. | Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer, Privacy/Security Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

- They have a very respinsive support staff
- They have vastly simplified the process of achieving compliance for our cloud infrastructure in audits

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

- They have taken years to implement feedback which made their product very painful to use. That being said it eventually did get implemented.
- They abstract away control of the docker layer of the cluster making it very difficult to integrate many containerized tools which would be trivial to implement without MedStack.
- Their API is proprietary and does not use standardized IaC configurations such as terraform. This can lead to vendor lock-in and make it difficult to move infrastructure in the event that MedStack's infrastructure becomes unavailable.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to offset many of the cloud security tasks to MedStack duering audits.

  ### 2. Best solution secure and compliant hosting for healthcare applications.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Einau I. | Information Technology Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

First and foremost, I was impressed with the platform's security features. Medstack uses advanced security protocols and compliance frameworks to protect patient data and maintain regulatory compliance. The platform is compliant with various regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR, which assures healthcare providers that their data is secure and private.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

After my use this platform, I find nothing wrong or that I dislike about it, it only goes a head to prove how the solution captures a wide range of use cases, I would encourage them to continue in the same trajectory

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were seeking secure, acompliant, and reliable hosting for our applications, and Medstack gave us that. The platform's top-notch security features, user-friendly interface, and exceptional customer support make it a standout choice in the healthcare technology industry.

  ### 3. There are not many services available but the existent ones are good

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

Stable and easy to use. Medstack has been receiving constant improvements and it is good.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

The zero-downtime deployments were not available for years, causing a lot of overnight deployments that should be avoided.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running applications under HIPAA PHI and PII compliance.

  ### 4. Compliance and Security in a BOX

Honestly, the depth of respect we have found the name gives us North American wide with sophisticated clients. Military, Police and first responder communities require the highest levle of compliance and security. MedStack gives us that.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

Sorry but we like it ALL!! The system suits all of our needs.

  ### 5. Top-notch service for hosting HIPAA compliant services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

The security and ease of use, considering that our Engineering team could easily be compliant and quickly implement health-related web-apps.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

Besides price, which is understandable for what it offers, I don't have any con to highlight.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that our products are HIPAA compliant and that we can understand who accesses to the end-user data via a rigorous logging system. Also, it benefits from using known technologies such as Docker images, and having staging and production environments.

  ### 6. Reliable privacy and security focused hosting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

The support team has been great every time we needed them, whether it's for help with setting up new services, or restoring a backup.

I logged in to a server to create a database dump so I could anonymize it and do some troubleshooting, and they sent me a notification that there was suspicious activity on the account, with a detailed play-by-play of the things I'd done to copy the database. This is an impressive level of monitoring, as this is exactly what an attacker would do.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

MedStack isn't general purpose hosting like Azure or AWS. You run Docker containers on MedStack and can access them through an HTTPS port.

You can't expose other ports or set up a VPN that you can use to access your services. This is good from a privacy and security perspective, but also can be limiting if this is what you're used to.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem MedStack is solving is making compliance easier. They've helped with security reviews and audits, performed disaster recovery tests for us and provided evidence for audits, and just generally been really helpful navigating all the aspects of proving that we're running secure services.

  ### 7. The easiest way to ensure compliance with regulations in different jurisdictions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

MedStack's control panel is easy to use: Simply choose where to host your app, spin up your servers, and MedStack automatically configures all firewalls, intrusion detection systems and security settings in a way that complies with most of the technical requirements of regulations such as HIPAA and PHIPA.

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

If you have an existing cloud application that you'd like to bring to MedStack, and your app incorporates certain cloud-based services (such as Kubernetes or AWS Lambda for example), the app can be difficult to port to MedStack... though MedStack is increasing its support of various technologies more and more.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We frequently recommend MedStack to our clients because it makes it much easier for them to comply with the technical aspects of HIPAA and other regulations. Additionally, we have found that our clients that use MedStack have a much easier time passing threat risk assessments and security audits from healthcare companies that they sell into.

  ### 8. MedStack, taking care of the things that matter

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about MedStack?**

MedStack, the team, have been there at every corner or intersection, where we've needed advice, and given very good advice. They are experienced in working with "the start up", and make the experience of being a start up so much easier than when we were not working with them. What continues to impress me is the attention with which they manage our relationships. In their industry, they are working with technologies at all points along the prepare-to-go-to-market continuum. What they do is endeavour to meet you where you're at so that you can get to the next stage as comfortable as possible. They really do this!

Recently we were in negotiations with a larger health authority. We needed to have the paperwork in place to support our position of level a healthcare level of cyber security that was necessary for us to move forward, to check all the boxes for the health authority IT security team. A phone call, a next day discussion and with a few tweaks we had a package that our MedStack team delivered and we presented . It felt like Medstack, the team, came in full force to assist us. They did. The process with the health authority that would've taken months to get all the boxes checked going back-and-forth with request of paperwork and supportive documentation - Medstack handed to us on a platter. Medstack assisted in helping us prepare all the documentation with closing on tge the IT security assessment in six days versus months of back n forth.

I cannot say enough for the organization that I've been privileged to work with over the last four years. They were very personable and responsive from the beginning when they were smaller abd it was nice to see things have not changed --

**What do you dislike about MedStack?**

Honestly there is not much - there is nothing to dislike about great customer service and being fully supprted.

**What problems is MedStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are passing all healthcare IT security concerns with no friction and quick turn around .
