## MariaDB Reviews
  ### 1. MariaDB: Reliable database for handling large data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suhail C. | System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about MariaDB?**

We use MariaDB in our company for an application that handles a large amount of data, and it has been reliable for us. Even with continuous usage and growing data, it manages everything without major issues.

From the application side it is easy to work with. Queries run as expected and integration was not difficult. Once it is set up, it doesn’t need much attention on a daily basis.

It also helps us keep data organized across different parts of the application without making the setup too complicated.

**What do you dislike about MariaDB?**

Some parts of the setup were not very clear in the beginning, especially when configuring things beyond basic usage. It took some time to understand how everything works properly.

Also, when something goes wrong, the error messages are not always helpful, so it takes extra time to find the actual issue.

It’s not a big problem once you get used to it, but initially it can be a bit confusing.

**What problems is MariaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MariaDB helps us manage a large amount of data for our application in one place. Instead of handling data in different ways, everything is stored and managed properly through the database.

It makes it easier for our application to retrieve data quickly when users search or access information, so overall performance stays consistent.

It also reduces the effort needed to manage data, since we don’t have to maintain multiple setups, and everything stays organized.

  ### 2. Mariadb: The database I can count on

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Technical Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about MariaDB?**

It is open source based tool and free to use. It is easy to use and provides high performance and if compare to security perspective it is highly secure it offers robust authentication and encryption. I use on daily basis. It is easy to integrate with other servers. Our product uses Mariadb software and our customer support used it to check the health and application performance. It supports master slave replication, clustering and easy to take backup in Mariadb.

**What do you dislike about MariaDB?**

Some features were not there and as it is based on CLI. first time some users facing issues while running it as it is not very comfortable but on daily uses it is far better.

**What problems is MariaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As it is open source I can directly install it in my system whether it is windows or linux. It provides high security which is very useful for any organization. Queries runs fast even the database has large datasets. It improves overall productivity. Replication and backups are reliable.
