As a plant manager and always being out and about, it is nice to have the option of performing inspections on the phone. **What do you dislike about Mapistry?** Honestly, I have only been using Mapistry for a few months but have yet to find any flaws/downsides about it. Overall, it works great for what I do at the different sites I am responsible for. **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making sure all SWPP/stormwater issues are being addressed. But now I have to select one site and verify the tasks overdue/coming. **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** allow data analysis in a faster way, database retention/record, keep tasks under control (wt alert). ### 3. They made the process and training very easy and well thought out. The actual product does a few things really well and the best is the inspection aspect. Having reminders for inspections, an easy way to mark off inspections, and further tracking of any actions generated from the inspection is Mapistry's highlight. **What do you dislike about Mapistry?** The only dislike I have is currently a work in progress. The analytics for their data has come a long way but still has a bit to go before it is fully usable in a day-to-day environment. The data is shown well and is configurable with filters but changing from one view to another is a little sluggish and needs quick changes without having to reload the entire view. **Recommendations to others considering Mapistry:** Have an open discussion with Mapistry on your needs and they are great at coming up with solutions that will meet your needs. The software offers a lot of solutions that you may not even know you need until you see the capabilities. **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mapistry has helped solve multiples needs. The biggest has been with SWPPP inspections and having the ability to track the deficiencies found through completion. In addition it has helped visualize our stormwater sampling results in an easy to upload way. These reviews allow us to find negative trends or outliers and focus on fixing those issues before they become a compliance problem. ### 4. It has helped us identify, assign and follow up by setting deadlines from the mobile device, tablet or computer. **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mapistry is a software that helps us focus on performance and not on paperwork by organizing and automating compliance tasks by obtaining reports, monitoring and alerts. It is a solution that allows my work team not to go unnoticed and without resolving compliance gaps, concentrating on working in a productive collaborative way being proactive, it has helped us make better decisions and we have seen an increase in the effectiveness of inspections. ### 5. They've got the tools and support to help bring inspections into the new age and that helps make companies successful. Mapistry is also continuously learning what they can do to support industries more and streamline inspections and data gathering. They are constantly creating new tools and releasing training videos to optimize their support. **What do you dislike about Mapistry?** Honestly I don't have anything bad to say about Mapistry! **Recommendations to others considering Mapistry:** If you want to make your programs more user-friendly and have the background support, I highly suggest seeking Mapistry's help! **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have worked with Mapistry on SWPPP & SPCC inspections and about to dive into Air compliance and I cannot wait to see how much this new suite helps us succeed!! ### 6. Managers can just open Mapistry and see everything without having to be on site. Communication between team members has greatly improved and people are actually held accountable for the completion of corrective actions and tasks. Environmental compliance is much more visible and right at our fingertips. Customer service is amazing and every question is always answered. **What do you dislike about Mapistry?** There are no downsides to using Mapistry! **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** Environmental compliance has significantly improved. Before Mapistry, managers were less likely to know if inspections were completed and on time. Mapistry has completely erased that issue and made everything always available. We had problems with holding people accountable to completing inspections and corrective actions. Now we know those are getting done with the ability to add pictures. Communication has been completely streamlined between team members and managers. ### 7. I have been taking pictures and then completing the inspection on the desktop, which will not lose the uploaded pictures **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** Consistency in completing inspections on-time; creating a team effort to remediate issues and a compliant facility/organization. As a long time client I have had the opportunity to watch Mapistry grow a very talented and personable team that understands its clients needs. In a time where customer service has failed to even meet mediocrity Mapistry re-sets the bar to a level I expect from my service providers. **What do you dislike about Mapistry?** There is not anything to "dislike" as areas of improvement (or desired modifications) are addressed by the Mapistry team to the extent possible. The Mapistry team is very responsive to my team's needs and is open to ideas/suggestions to improve the platform. **Recommendations to others considering Mapistry:** Invest time and focus on learning the platform. It is powerful and the front end investment will payoff in short order. Mapistry has significantly improved, from a good to great, platform in a relatively short amount of time for a young organization. **What problems is Mapistry solving and how is that benefiting you?** From a platform perspective we have been able to (1) identify and map hot spots to reduce pollutants of concern, (2) customize other map layers such emergency maps, hazardous materials storage maps, etc., and, (3) track air permit compliance tasks much more efficiently and effectively. We have also engaged Mapistry for professional engineering and consultation services reducing workload on me personally in turn opening bandwidth for implementation and management of other initiatives.
