"Smart Sweep Made Email Cleanup Effortless—and Freed Up 12GB in a Week"

What do you like best about MAILBROOM?

The Smart Sweep feature is a real game-changer. Rather than manually sorting through thousands of emails one by one, MailBroom groups senders by volume, making it easy to bulk-delete, unsubscribe, or archive whole categories in just a few clicks. What do you dislike about MAILBROOM?

The main limitation is that it only works with Exchange Online mailboxes, not on-premises Exchange. If your organisation is running a hybrid setup, employees who are still on-premises can’t use it until they’re migrated to the cloud. That said, I’ve been told there’s a personal Apple Store app that can handle those accounts as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

MailBroom solved three specific problems for us:

Rising Microsoft storage costs – We were paying thousands each year in overage fees because employees were hoarding emails. With MailBroom’s Storage Cleanup, we reclaimed 12GB in the first day, and we’re now projecting about £1,800/year in storage savings.

IT helpdesk overload – “My mailbox is full” was one of our most common tickets. Since deploying MailBroom, we’ve seen a 40% reduction in storage-related requests, which has freed up our IT team to focus on more strategic work instead of manual cleanups.

Compliance gaps – We needed a way to bulk-clean emails from specific senders or domains across the entire organisation. Power Search lets us find and take action on emails that should have been deleted years ago, while still respecting retention holds.
