**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jana A.

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I use Looker to analyze our website data, and I'm really happy with it. I appreciate how it's able to create nice visuals and reports that fit our needs. I like the flexibility and the visual customizations it provides, plus the user-friendliness of the platform stands out. The ability to share reports with the team is great, and I especially find value in the customization of data that I can do on my own, like viewing data within a specific time frame. The initial setup was easy, not too hard at all.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Sometimes when I get an error or empty data, the reason isn't shown, and I have to figure out the issue myself. It would be nice to have an indication or suggestion for replacing it with other data input.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Looker to analyze website data, create visuals and reports that fit our needs. I like its flexibility, visual customizations, user-friendliness, and the ability to share reports with the team and customize data views.

 ### 4. It was a decent product for analytics reporting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brij M. | Technical Product Manager, Management Consulting, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is a highly convenient tool for anyone looking to begin their analytics journey. It makes it simple and even enjoyable to compare different user journeys across various stages. While working as a product analytics engineer and reporting on digital sales journeys, I found it much easier to use. The drag-and-drop functionality allowed me to quickly create the reporting dashboards I needed within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Integrating with platforms outside the Google ecosystem can sometimes be a bit challenging. While there are various methods to address and overcome these issues, the process often takes longer to set up. I have also noticed that if your flows are not properly optimized, you might experience latency problems. On several occasions, I found it quite inconvenient to wait for the data to load on the dashboard.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The user journey provides valuable insights into how users progress and highlights areas where they may be dissatisfied. This information is extremely helpful to me, as it allows me to better prioritise which problems to address within the product.

 ### 5. Effective Dashboards but Needs AI and Speed Improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl C. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I like Looker's ability to provide several forms of dashboards and analyze existing data from different angles. This helps me to adapt my outreach strategy based on the data. The dashboards give a visual understanding of aggregate data, which is really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It's slow at times and lacks an AI agent feature like on HEX.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Looker to solve lead gen issues by finding leads for B2B SaaS sales. It helps me adapt strategies using dashboards that offer a visual understanding of aggregate data.

 ### 6. Interactive Dashboards with Minimalist UX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul W. | Student, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I love that Looker treats data modeling like software engineering, being organized and consistent, while keeping the front end simple enough for anyone to use. Unlike some other tools that look like complex airplane cockpits, Looker’s interface is very minimalist and shows you only what you need to see, which lowers the intimidation factor for new users. I also appreciate how Looker provides live, interactive dashboards that allow us to drill down into specific data points immediately, moving away from static PDFs or Excel sheets that become obsolete the moment they're shared. I mainly pair it with Snowflake as our database and connect it to Slack to automatically ping the team whenever our key metrics hit specific targets.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The visuals feel a bit stiff; it’s definitely function over form. Also, the setup is heavy—you really need a technical expert to handle the coding language initially.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker replaces outdated PDFs and Excel sheets with live, interactive dashboards, making data immediately accessible. It organizes data modeling like software engineering, while its minimalist interface simplifies user experience. It fixed our 'messy data' and unified our numbers, making it a critical tool compared to Tableau and Excel.

 ### 7. Powerful Business Intelligence Tool for Data-Driven Decisions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** deneth p. | Product Development Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

What I like best about Looker is its ability to turn complex datasets into clear, interactive dashboards and reports. It makes data exploration much easier and allows me to drill down into details without needing advanced SQL skills. The platform helps teams collaborate by sharing insights quickly, and the customizable dashboards give a clear view of business performance. Its integration with Google Cloud also makes it scalable and reliable.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Looker can feel overwhelming for new users because of its steep learning curve, especially when working with LookML. The setup and implementation require technical expertise, which might not be ideal for smaller teams. At times, the loading speed for very large datasets can be slow. More intuitive drag-and-drop features would make it easier for non-technical users.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker solves the challenge of making data accessible and actionable across the organization. Instead of relying on static reports, it allows us to create real-time dashboards and drill into details to uncover insights. This helps different teams make data-driven decisions faster, improves collaboration, and reduces the dependency on IT for reporting. Overall, it saves time, increases transparency, and supports better business performance.

 ### 8. Easy, Clear Funnel Visualization for Google Ads and Website Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Their simple visualisation that pulls in data from Google Ads and other sources is easy to use. For website analytics and tracking brand performance, it helps me see the top of the funnel more clearly and understand what’s driving early-stage engagement.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I’ve noticed slow performance, especially when I’m working with large datasets. I also feel limited by the visualization customization options, and some connectors break sometimes, which can be frustrating.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing Analytics, google ads and website performance

 ### 9. From Data Chaos to Clarity: My Experience with Looker Studio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atul S. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker Studio is very easy to use and simple to implement — I was able to build dashboards quickly without much setup. I use it frequently because of the wide range of features and smooth integration with Google tools. Sharing is effortless, and while customer support is mostly community-driven, it’s usually enough for common issues.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Sometimes Looker Studio can feel a bit slow, especially when handling large datasets or complex dashboards. While the basic features are great, some advanced customizations take extra effort or aren’t very straightforward. Also, customer support isn’t very direct — it’s mostly community-driven, so finding solutions can take time. Aside from that, it’s a solid tool once you get used to it.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker Studio helps me bring together data from multiple sources into one place, which saves a lot of time compared to manually compiling spreadsheets. It makes complex data easier to understand through interactive dashboards and visualizations. This benefits me by allowing quicker insights, better decision-making, and easier sharing of reports with teammates or clients.

 ### 10. Empowering Ad Hoc Analysis with Accessible Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg W. | Manager, Digital Customer Success (Acquired by CoStar!) , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I like that Looker is fully accessible, which means I don't need to go to our data or BI person to pull reports. I can ad hoc, build a query, and dive into the metrics that are really valuable to us. It's great for understanding customer segments and analyzing performance based on those metrics, like subscription levels, upgrade or downgrade status, and user activity. I appreciate the ability to create recurring reports that can be sent automatically. This automation makes Looker a bit easier to use. Overall, once you know how to build a query, Looker makes it pretty easy to replicate tasks, and it plays a crucial role in doing quick ad hoc analysis on our customer data.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Sometimes it's not really Looker's fault, but, because it's connected to Snowflake, it's not always 100% real time. It's near real time. So if there's certain complex queries or if I'm not able to find a field and what it means, then I have to go to our data team and that takes a little bit longer. So while it is self-service, there are areas that are a little bit more challenging and technical, and because I'm not the most technical end user, I'm not able to solve it on my own. I require assistance. So I think Looker is definitely a tool that requires a little bit more tech savviness to be able to solve some of the more complex issues.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Looker to do quick ad hoc analysis on customer data, analyze it in near real time, and segment groups to understand performance. It helps me identify underperforming segments and create reports for leadership without needing BI team assistance.

 ### 11. Powerful Data Visualization and Analytics Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sidath P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker’s ability to turn raw data into interactive dashboards and clear visualizations is its strongest point. The modeling layer with LookML allows for consistent metrics definitions across the organization, reducing discrepancies in reporting. I also like how seamless it is to share reports with non-technical colleagues, ensuring decision-making is always based on the same source of truth. Its integration with cloud databases and the ability to embed dashboards into applications is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The initial learning curve for LookML can be steep for new users who don’t have technical backgrounds. Dashboard loading times can sometimes be slow when handling large datasets. Additionally, pricing can be high for smaller organizations, and some advanced customizations require deeper technical knowledge, which reduces accessibility for non-technical users.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker helps us solve the challenge of unifying data across multiple sources and making it accessible to both technical and non-technical teams. Previously, we relied heavily on analysts to run SQL queries and generate static reports. With Looker, business users can explore live dashboards, drill into details, and make data-driven decisions without waiting on the data team. This has improved efficiency, reduced reporting bottlenecks, and created a single source of truth for metrics across the organization. It also allows leadership to track KPIs in real-time, improving overall strategic alignment.

 ### 12. Looker Makes Building Interactive Dashboards Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose C. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is a very easy tool to use to make interactive dashboards

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I think it lacks a bit of customization on some of the KPI's and componentes that you can add. Also it's a bit simple when it comes to design

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me see all the important data I want to highlight in one place and helps me not make mistakes when reporting, as well as a valuable tool for clients to interact with results

 ### 13. Seamless BigQuery Integration Supercharges Finance Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Being part of the Google Cloud ecosystem makes it a powerhouse for us. Integration with BigQuery is native and lightning-fast. For a Finance PM, this means I can pull transactional data from our platform into a dashboard in minutes without a heavy ETL process.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The learning curve is steep. Unlike "drag-and-drop" tools, you really need to understand LookML to get anything meaningful done. This makes it hard to "self-serve" for non-technical members of the finance team who just want to build a quick ad-hoc chart.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I deal with complex multi-party transactions (merchants, print providers, and shipping carriers). Calculating real-time unit economics across millions of transactions in spreadsheets was impossible. Looker’s in-database architecture (leveraging BigQuery) allows us to analyze granular transaction-level data without the "export-to-Excel" bottleneck. I can now track merchant P&L and print provider performance in real-time, allowing for much faster product roadmap adjustments.

 ### 14. Great Visualizations and Versatile Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emin U. | Technical Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

It provides great visualization, from charts to maps, and it’s very versatile.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I’ve noticed occasional performance issues, and the learning curve feels a bit steep.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more inconsistent or obsolete reports. It provides real-time analysis and makes our decision-making much easier.

 ### 15. Consistent Company-Wide Metrics with LookML and Easy AI-Powered Data Queries

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nataporn C. | IT Support, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

The centralized LookML layer ensures our metrics are consistent company-wide, and the new AI-powered natural language queries make data accessible to everyone.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The steep learning curve for LookML and the premium price tag make it a significant investment that requires technical expertise.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker solves the critical problem of data silos and inconsistent metrics across our organization. Before Looker, different departments often had conflicting reports, but now we have a Single Source of Truth thanks to its centralized modeling layer. It has also eliminated the bottleneck on our data team; with its intuitive interface and AI-powered queries, non-technical users can now explore data and get insights independently. The biggest benefit is the ability to make real-time, data-driven decisions directly from our cloud data warehouse without waiting for manual report refreshes.

 ### 16. Easy-to-use platform with seamless integration and clear visualizations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradhyum U. | Data Analyst, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

What I like most about Looker is its ease of use — the interface feels intuitive, so even non-technical users on my team can create and understand dashboards without heavy training. The ease of implementation was impressive too; once data sources were connected, we were able to start building dashboards quickly. I also value the ease of integration — Looker connects seamlessly with Google tools like BigQuery, Analytics, and Sheets, while also working well with external sources such as Excel or SQL databases. The number of features strikes a good balance: from filters and drill-downs to LookML for reusable data models, it’s powerful without being overwhelming.I find myself using Looker regularly, often on a daily basis, which shows how naturally it fits into my workflow and decision-making process.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The main challenge is the learning curve with LookML. While it’s incredibly powerful, less technical users may struggle at first. Large datasets can sometimes slow dashboard load times, and certain advanced visualizations don’t feel as polished compared to other BI tools. I’d also like to see more documentation and faster customer support responses on complex issues.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Looker Studio solves the problem of scattered reporting. Instead of pulling data manually from spreadsheets and different tools, I can bring everything into one place and build dashboards that update automatically. This saves a lot of time and makes it easier to track sales performance, marketing KPIs, and operational metrics without digging through raw data. The biggest benefit is how simple it is to share these insights with others — stakeholders understand the story instantly because the data is visual and interactive.

 ### 17. Cuts Manual Work for Data Visuals

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avi S. | Senior Investor Relations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

I use Looker to handle supply partner issues, extract data for improvement, and share it with stakeholders easily due to its instant data retrieval and effective visual representation.

 ### 20. Flexible Visualizations and Strong Integrations, But UI Feels Outdated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

One aspect I really appreciate is the flexibility in data visualization, as it allows you to select the type of graphic or view that best fits the specific report you are working on.

Additionally, the integration with other systems, such as Salesforce, is a significant advantage. This feature makes it possible to use Salesforce as a data provider for our queries, which greatly enhances the overall functionality and quality of insights provided.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The UI and UX feel somewhat outdated, especially when compared to other tools such as Metabase. It would benefit from a more modern design.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Looker as one of our tools for data reporting, and our internal engineering teams also rely on it, for example, to pull lists of impacted customers. We also use it to integrate to other 3rd party tools such as Salesforce and Twilio to provide more data insights.

 ### 21. Strengthens Data Consistency Across Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sannidhi p. | Project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I like Looker's modeling layer and how I can rely on it for analysis and decision making. It provides a single unbiased decision for every metric, helping me avoid conflicts and other problems. Its semantic modeling layer gives a single unbiased output for all metrics, which is really helpful for making business decisions as it avoids conflicts, emotional decision making, and ensures consistent results.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I find Looker's developer environment and UI a little complicated to learn and use, especially for new users. It would be helpful if the developer environment were simplified a bit, and more integration of genAI could assist with this.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Looker for data analysis. It solves inconsistencies and errors in metrics across departments by unifying metrics via a single source. Its modeling layer gives consistent, unbiased outputs, aiding in conflict-free decision-making.

 ### 22. Best-in-Class Monitoring Dashboard, with Room to Grow in Observability

This product helps me with the semantic data modelling problem-solving. This also has a neat UI design.

 ### 23. Valuable Ecommerce Insights for Shipments and Order Aging

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Not much to dislike at the moment. The data we have used it for as proven to be useful.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us determine which stores are turning over online orders faster. The slower stores can be identified and training procedures put into place.

 ### 24. Empowers Teams with Consistent, Real-Time Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

What I like best about Looker is its ability to create a single source of truth through LookML, which ensures consistent metrics across teams. The platform integrates seamlessly with cloud data warehouses and allows users to explore real-time data without moving it. Its strong governance, scalability, and self-service analytics capabilities make it easy for both technical and business users to collaborate and make data-driven decisions.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

While Looker is a powerful analytics platform, it has a steep learning curve, especially for users who are not familiar with LookML. Building and maintaining models often requires strong technical expertise, which can slow down initial adoption. Additionally, dashboard customization options are somewhat limited compared to other BI tools, and complex reports may require developer support, reducing flexibility for non-technical users.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker solves the problem of inconsistent metrics and fragmented reporting by providing a centralized data model that ensures everyone works from the same definitions. By enabling real-time analysis directly on cloud data warehouses, it eliminates data duplication and reduces latency. This has improved data accuracy, increased trust in insights, and helped teams make faster, more informed business decisions.

I like being able to share insights with my team members or management easily. As an e-commerce company employee, I use Looker to track sales performance, top-selling products, customer locations, and trends over time. It effectively shows me total sales for today, this week, or this month, the number of orders and revenue, and provides comparisons like this month vs last month.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Adding a 'Beginner Mode' with just the basic features like view, filter, and download would be really useful.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Looker for data analysis, connecting multiple sources in one place. It tracks sales performance and trends to enhance decision-making and makes sharing insights with the team easy. It helps us see total sales, orders, and revenue clearly for comparison over time.

**Reviewed by:** Raghunath S. | Digital Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

As an SEO professional, what I like best about Looker Studio is its ability to combine data from multiple sources like GSC, GA4, and Google Sheets into a single unified dashboard. This helps me track keyword performance, landing page metrics, and traffic trends all in one place. The ability to create automated, client friendly SEO reports that update in real-time saves a lot of manual effort. Plus, the flexibility to customize charts, tables, and scorecards helps present complex SEO data in clean and visual way.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It can get frustrating when dealing with large datasets or multiple connectors. Reports tend to load slowly or even break if the data source is too heavy, especially when working with GA4 or BigQuery.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time every week by automating reporting for clients and internal teams. It also makes it easier to communicate SEO performance to non-technical stakeholders through visual charts and summaries.

 ### 31. Comprehensive, User-Friendly, and Powerful BI Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nagendra R. | Performance Marketer | SEO Specialist |Facebook, Google Ads Expert | Paid Media Marketing | Growth hacker |Copywriting, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker Studio stands out for its seamless integration with various data sources—from Google Analytics, Ads, Sheets, and BigQuery, to third-party connectors. The drag-and-drop interface makes dashboard creation approachable even for those without a technical background, yet it still offers robust options for advanced users. I truly appreciate the platform’s customization capability, allowing me to tailor reports and visuals for different stakeholders. Collaboration is effortless with real-time sharing and edit access, which keeps marketing and analytics teams on the same page. In my digital marketing role, the ability to combine, visualize, and analyze multi-channel campaign data has been instrumental in optimizing performance and driving growth.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Occasionally, complex or very large datasets can cause reports to load slowly, impacting the user experience. Some advanced features require a learning curve, particularly around data blending and custom calculations. I’d love to see even more third-party connectors and streamlined options for automating report refreshes. Also, while the free tier is excellent, certain features are limited unless you upgrade.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker helps consolidate marketing, sales, and operational data into a single, interactive dashboard. This solves the problem of fragmented data sources and enables quick, data-driven decisions. The platform empowers me to track campaign performance, compare digital channels, uncover actionable insights, and present results clearly to stakeholders. As a growth marketer, it has made reporting more efficient and has directly contributed to improved ROI and strategic planning.

 ### 32. Makes Data Exploration & Visualization Surprisingly Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zeeshan K. | Founder & CEO | Lead Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

What I love about Looker is how easy it makes data visualization feel, even for non-technical users. The interface is intuitive, and the way it connects directly to live databases without moving data around is a big win. I also appreciate how LookML lets us define reusable data logic once and then share it across teams. It’s become my go-to tool when I need to create clean, insightful dashboards without writing a bunch of SQL each time.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

While Looker is powerful, I’ve found that the learning curve for LookML can be a bit steep in the beginning-especially for team members who don’t have much technical experience. Also, the pricing might be a bit high for startups or smaller businesses. Some advanced features could use more documentation or easier implementation support.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker helps solve the problem of scattered, hard-to-access data across different teams and tools. Before using it, we relied heavily on manual reporting and inconsistent spreadsheets, which made it tough to get a unified view of performance. With Looker, we’ve centralized our data analysis, automated reporting, and made real-time insights accessible to both technical and non-technical users. It’s saving us tons of time and helping us make faster, data-driven decisions.

I use Looker to transform rough data into presentable and explainable formats. It's easy to use, free for reporting, and requires no prior software knowledge, reducing my workload.

 ### 35. Fully Customizable Dashboards That Fit Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Being able to work through our own dashboards and fully customize them is great.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Sometimes it works slowly and data filtering can take a long time.

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is highly valued for its centralized, governed data modeling layer.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I’ve run into performance issues when working with large datasets, and the cost also feels quite high.

Intuitive visualization and reporting, seamless integration and data connectivity, and centralized data modeling.

 ### 37. Powerful Data Platform for Modern Business Intelligence

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mihir M. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker’s biggest strength is its flexibility and powerful modeling layer (LookML), which makes it easy to build consistent, reusable data models. It’s excellent for scaling analytics across multiple teams without reinventing the wheel for every dashboard. The UI is clean, and the way it handles explores encourages self-serve data exploration for business users, which is a big win for teams that want to move away from static reports.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Looker has a steep learning curve, especially for non-technical users or analysts new to LookML. The dependency on engineers or analytics engineers to maintain the modeling layer means it can be time-consuming to implement changes. Also, advanced visualizations are more limited compared to other BI tools like Tableau — so heavy data storytelling sometimes needs an external tool.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker has helped us standardize our reporting and metrics, reduce duplicate queries, and empower different teams to build their own reports with confidence in the data definitions. It has also enabled better governance across our data pipelines, and the integration with BigQuery works smoothly for real-time analytics.

 ### 38. Powerful tool that empowers data ownership at all levels

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruxandra-Elena D. | Customer Support Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker has completely transformed how we access and interpret data in the Customer Support department. I love the ability to create real-time dashboards that bring visibility into key KPIs like CSAT, SLA adherence, ticket volume trends, and agent productivity. It enables my team leads and I to proactively identify issues, monitor performance, and make data-backed decisions quickly. The flexibility of LookML also allows for tailored metrics that reflect our support structure across different markets.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The learning curve can be steep for new users, especially when it comes to LookML or building custom dashboards from scratch. Some dashboards can become slow to load when pulling large datasets, and managing access controls or permission levels across teams sometimes requires admin involvement. Additionally, while powerful, some visuals lack the polish or customization options compared to other BI tools.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker solves the problem of fragmented and inaccessible data. Previously, insights were locked in spreadsheets or required help from data analysts. Now, I have instant access to live dashboards that track team and regional performance in real time. This enables quicker decision-making, better coaching, and stronger cross-functional alignment. Looker also allows us to share performance trends with stakeholders effortlessly, improving transparency and collaboration. It saves time, reduces guesswork, and gives me confidence in the data I use to lead my team.

 ### 40. Advantages & Disadvantages of using Looker

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal G. | Digital marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is liked for its powerful, centralized LookML data modeling layer, which creates a single source of truth for data and allows for consistent, reusable metrics across an organization. It offers an intuitive user interface with self-serve data exploration capabilities, making it accessible to business users. Additionally, Looker is praised for its seamless integration with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other cloud data warehouses, its support for developers through APIs and SDKs, and its ability to support collaboration and data security.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Users often dislike Looker's steep learning curve, particularly with its proprietary LookML modeling language and complex features like data merging, which require significant manual effort and technical skill to set up. Additionally, performance issues such as slow dashboard loading times and lag, limited visualization options compared to competitors, and a costly price point for its features are frequent complaints from users. Other dislikes include issues with data connection stability, the need for workarounds on common tasks, and a sometimes buggy user interface.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker solves the problem of fragmented and inaccessible business data by providing a unified, semantic layer for data modeling, creating a single source of truth for all metrics. This empowers businesses by enabling self-service analytics, data-driven decision-making through interactive dashboards, and the ability to embed analytics into other applications. Users benefit from consistent, governed data, deeper insights into customer behavior and operations, and increased data engineering efficiency, leading to better business transformation.

 ### 41. Strong Google Integration, Needs Intuitive Visualization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tong Yi C. | Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I like the connections Looker has with Google products, specifically BigQuery datasets and Google Sheets. Since our company mainly uses Google Suite, the infrastructure is already built on Google products, which makes it a lot easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It can be quite difficult sometimes to get the visualizations or slices that you want. Some of the options and slices are not very intuitive, so you have to think of roundabout ways to get the desired outcome you're looking for.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker lets me display complex datasets in granular, customizable slices for easier visualization.

 ### 42. A full-featured BI tool with an integrated semantic layer that makes self-service easier

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy M. | Business Intelligence Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

The semantic layer makes building visualizations and dashboards substantially easier for technical and non-technical users alike.
Integrates with a host of databases.
Quite easy to implement as long as you've got a supported database.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Pricier than almost all SaaS competitors
All compute is performed in the database so there is no ability to join datasets from different DBs when building a visualization.
All data sources have to be built as lookml "views" and exposed in a model file as an "explore" which makes it difficult to simply write a query and make a view off of it, like other BI viz tools allow.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a BI visualization & dashboarding tool for all our internal data. We also wanted self-serve analytics so that our power users could readily obtain data & analysis without having to prompt our BI architect (me) or hire a BI analyst (which we don't currently employ)

 ### 43. All on one visualize & marketing analysis Tool for Digital Strategist

**Reviewed by:** Ayush J. | Sr SEO ecommerce specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

It's the perfect visualization and marketing analysis tool to integrate all the marketing insights into the one platform. as digital marketer i used it to analyze the marketing performance of google analytics, google ads and Console via data sources connection. and lastly we schedule the performance data in pdf formate to our client for the monthly basis.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

some of the marketing tool integration required paid sources and for search console it lacks last 2 days data. might be bit challenging for beginner of use

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it fastens the monthly performance reporting and also speed up the markeing analysis without moving from one tool to other

 ### 44. Easier integration with GCP but lacks Visual options

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Looker?**

The best thing about Looker is that it provides easier access to the GCP environment. Compared to other options, it’s also easier to manage IAM and authentication.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

The visualisation capabilities are a bit weaker compared to competitor tools, but they’re still fine for most use cases.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re currently using it to track costs across different clusters and multiple teams. It provides a centralized dashboard where teams can review the costs incurred by their pipelines and, if needed, take corrective measures.
