## Liquid Web Reviews
  ### 1. If You Need To Go Big, Liquid Web Is Where You Should Be.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron P. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

When I was with the platform I liked it's speed and versatility. There were multiple options for running large networks and the service at the time was pretty good too from memory. I also found the interface easy to navigate especially when adding or changing services for domains.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

For me, it was essentially cost. I don't think I was a big enough player at the time. I had so much capacity but couldn't utilise it as maybe a larger company could. I didn't dislike the cost as such, it's just that I wasn't maximising my value for money.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the time, the main problem it solved for me was the monitoring of multiple websites and domains. t enabled me to have a large number of domains easily tracable in one area.

  ### 2. Effortless Email Hosting with Simple Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon W. | Founder and CEO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

I like how simple the email dashboard is to use, which makes it easier for me to make changes to the accounts or passwords. The initial setup of Liquid Web was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

The pricing model

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liquid Web keeps all email hosting together for my customer, and the simple dashboard makes it easier to make changes to accounts or passwords.

  ### 3. Would not recommend, especially if you rely on fast, competent help when something goes wrong.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Perry T. | Technical Support Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

It used to be okay. Not anymore, it is a train wreck of a web host now.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

I had high hopes for Liquid Web based on their reputation, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Their support, which they claim is "heroic," has been completely dismal. Long wait times, canned responses, and zero urgency when real issues arise. When I needed help the most, I was either ignored or passed between agents who clearly weren’t reading the previous messages.

It feels like support has been outsourced or downgraded significantly — there's no consistency, no follow-through, and definitely no accountability. For the premium prices they charge, the support should be top-tier. Instead, it feels like a bait and switch.

Would not recommend, especially if you rely on fast, competent help when something goes wrong.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to have good support, now they don't offer support even on managed plans.

  ### 4. From Hero to ZERO

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josiah P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

The support was always pleasant to work with; however, lately, they are not able to help with any problems. No positives at this time.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

Liquid Web has been more than unprofessional and is a rip-off scheme at this point. Let me quantify this statement by saying that I have been a loyal customer of LW for the better part of 10 years, and I always seek their guidance to make upgrades and give them more business.
However, their quality of service has greatly declined over the last couple of years, and I can no longer ignore it. I have faced days of outages, hacks, and being manipulated into faulty upgrades even when I'm specific with my requirements—all while paying a premium to them.
I have recently switched from LW paying $1500+ a month for constant downtime and outages, only for LW to tell me they have no idea what the problem is, to a new hosting platform paying $64.99 a month. We have had zero downtime in months. On top of zero downtime compared to LW's constant, almost daily outages, upon migrating websites to this $64.99 hosting platform, my loading speeds were nearly cut in half. So to summarize, for $64.99 a month, I have gotten a functional hosting platform for 80 websites that have had zero downtime and also cut my loading times in half compared to paying $1500+ a month for LiquidWeb lies to me, abuses my trust, takes my money, provides a sub-par hosting service with constant outages, provides little to no support, I have to threaten escalations to get a response, longer loadings times, and now threats because I've caught on to their game. I'm leaving them for a better option. It's a shame what was once an excellent hosting service has turned into such a dumpster fire. I should have stopped making excuses for them a long time ago and stopped accepting mediocrity, but hindsight is 20/20.
If you're looking for a good-quality hosting service that will have your back, I recommend you go ANYWHERE but to LiquidWeb or Nexcess, their other company, which is also a rip-off. $200 for two websites. Insane. Not even WPEngine is that expensive, and at least WPEngine works.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They created more problems than they helped me with. Absolutely horrible experience.

  ### 5. Amazing for 20 years but new management or private equity driving it into the ground

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin J. | CEO / Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

I've been with Liquid Web for over 20 years, and they were the best; I loved them. But in the last year, it's been horrible. It sucks to have worked with them for so long, only to have to move all of our servers to someone new. They repeatedly just fail, and support went from the best to the worst in the last year, and it's even worse in the past few months. I do not recommend them anymore; avoid them at all costs. It sucks that for two decades, they were so good, but it seems like there's new leadership or something, and they're not changing.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

Support is not good at all and going down hill more and more

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are a host with horrible support

  ### 6. Unacceptably Poor Customer Support and Ethically Troubling Practices. This Company Lost Their Way.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

Their servers are not the fastest, their prices are higher than many of their competitors (they use introductory pricing), but I've stayed with them for 4+ years because they used to have excellent customer service. However, their customer service has deteriorated to the point I now consider Liquid Web one of the worst Web vendors,if not the worst, I've ever worked with. And that's from a career in the Fortune 500 with responsibility for well known brand websites and having my own sites too. I find that they've recently engaged in less than honest and ethical pricing practices with me. I can't find any positives to Liquid Web anymore. I would strongly recommend finding a different hosting company.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

I've used Liquid Web for several years and customer Service Has went from excellent to unacceptably poor and they add on services and refuse to take off charges. Their support team took 4 weeks to migrate my existing sites on their VPS to a new upgraded VPS account. They asked the same questions over and over and it would take them days to ask the same question again. I can't help but wonder if they only engage in these practices to charge customers more money. I've been responsible for websites at large companies as well as my own websites for more than two decades, and Liquid Web stands out as one of the worst vendors, from customer support to questionable charges that I've ever experienced.

At the beginning of last month, I ordered a new VPS to move my several websites hosting with Liquid Web on another VPS. It should have been simple and completed in no more than 72 hours. Instead, it took them one month, so I had to pay their high prices for two servers during that period, and then they added different charges that I'm presently disputing and their accounting team person is not friendly, just an authoritarian barking at me that they're going to be charging me no matter what. During the migration period, the migration team has been confused and not paid attention to my responses and what should have taken hours has turned into weeks and additional charges.

The deterioration of the quality of customer support and the way customers are treated at Liquid Web is so dramatic, I can only guess that the company has experienced major management changes because the customer focus isn't there anymore, the ethics aren't there -- they're engaging in some very shady billing practices. The customer experience at Liquid Web simply doesn't seem remotely similar to what it was years ago and from what I'm reading in other reviews, my experiences are not rare.

I strongly advise that people avoid Liquid Web. Their servers aren't very fast. Their customer support and customer experience is very poor. The engage in problematic practices, including adding on charges for services that I never ordered and then refuse to cancel those charges or even listen to the customer. A few years ago, I was recommending Liquid Web, but the company has dramatically changed for the worse and I can only recommend others avoid this company.

UPDATE:

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Liquid Web for hosting websites (VPS) and they've been supposed to be migrated websites to an upgraded VPS, but for two weeks they've done nothing and ask the same questions I've already answered over and over as they shuffle me from employee to employee and refuse to escalate my migration request. UPDATED: It's taken 4 weeks to migrate 5 websites from my prior VPS to my new VPS, and in the process, I stopped updates to all of the sites and found that one of them was hacked.

  ### 7. atrocious customer service now. Leaving after 10 years.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

the tech support chat WAS great. But if security team gets involved you are screwed - can take weeks with no help.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

i LOVED them for years. now for weeks they have left accounts suspended. You can fall to back of support queue for weeks, and they have double charged me 4 months.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none - I'm moving after 10 years with them.

  ### 8. Most helpful humans is an understatement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

What does one need in a web hosting company? Reliability, Uptime, Prompt service and good pricing. Liquid Web ticks all the boxes. I have a few VPS with LiquidWeb and am extremely happy with them! My clients are happy that they do not have to worry about their websites being down anytime and with Liquid Web's sonar monitoring they see and correct any issue even before we notice it. Glad to be hosting with Liquid Web!

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

Nothing that I can remember over the last ten years.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best Web Hosting around! All websites we build stay up and work well thanks to the best equipment and people managing them

  ### 9. Proactive and great communicators

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John K. | Owner/Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

Proactive technicians who communicate well. They monitor for problems and keep me informed. Great response times to tickets with the right level of detail in their responses.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

I have never had a bad experience working with Liquid Web technicians. They either find the solution or explain why they are taking various courses of actions or steps to remediate things.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been hosting with Liquid Web using a dedicated server since 2020. My sites are stable, with great uptime, and I know that if I ever have a problem that I can always reach out to their technicians to get it resolved.

  ### 10. Best Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua W. | Solutions Architect / Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Liquid Web?**

Awesome Customer Service. The customer service is the best out there for a hosting company. I've been with them for more than 3 years and never going back. I've used multiple hosting companies over the years, however, once I found Liquid Web, they are the last. Their US-based customer service is paramount to any other hosting company out there.

**What do you dislike about Liquid Web?**

There is nothing to dislike. Everything I've ever experienced with this company has been amazing.

**What problems is Liquid Web solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing and maintaining multiple servers with a small IT team. However, when it comes to server maintenance, I can leave that up to LW and free up my team's time.
