What do you like best about Linnworks?

What I like best about Linnworks is its ability to centralise our entire operation in one platform. As a business selling across multiple marketplaces and territories, managing thousands of SKUs and significant order volumes, Linnworks gives us a single source of truth for inventory, orders and fulfilment.

The flexibility of the system is particularly valuable. We can customise workflows, automate routine tasks, manage stock across multiple warehouses, and integrate with a wide range of marketplaces and carriers. This has helped us improve operational efficiency, maintain inventory accuracy, and scale the business without needing to significantly increase administrative overhead.

What do you dislike about Linnworks?

One area where Linnworks could improve is pricing. As the business grows and additional users, channels, and functionality are required, the overall cost can become significant, particularly for businesses operating across multiple marketplaces and territories.

From a functionality perspective, I would like to see greater flexibility in how inventory is mapped between channels and warehouses. Currently, much of the stock linking is channel-based, whereas the ability to link and manage inventory more effectively at SKU level across different channels and warehouse locations would provide greater control and simplify some operational processes.

That said, despite these challenges, Linnworks remains a powerful platform and continues to be a key part of our operational infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Linnworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Linnworks solves one of the biggest challenges for a multi-channel retailer: managing inventory, orders, and fulfilment across numerous marketplaces and warehouses from a single platform.

Without Linnworks, we would need to manage stock separately across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, our websites, and other marketplaces, which would significantly increase the risk of overselling, stock discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies. Linnworks provides a central source of truth for inventory and order management, allowing us to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline fulfilment processes.

The platform also helps automate many routine tasks, reducing manual administration and enabling our team to focus on growth rather than day-to-day operational management. This has allowed us to scale our business across the UK, Europe, and North America while handling a large catalogue and significant order volumes without a proportional increase in headcount.

Another significant benefit is the accessibility of data. We are able to extract custom order, inventory, and operational data from Linnworks for reporting and business intelligence purposes. By combining this data with our financial reporting tools, we can analyse profitability by marketplace, country, product range, and sales channel, helping us make better commercial decisions and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
