"Good Editing Features, but Takes Some Time to Learn"

What do you like best about Lightworks?

I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content for social media, Because of this, I regularly work on health awareness videos, nutrition education content, wellness guidance material, and educational learning content where information needs to be presented in a clear and engaging way. What I love most about Lightworks is that it gives good editing control while keeping the workflow organized. In the beginning, I spent some time learning the interface, but after understanding the basics, everyday editing became much easier. Importing media, arranging clips on the timeline, trimming videos, adding titles, making adjustments, and preparing projects for export feels straightforward once you become familiar with the software.

I often work on educational videos where topics need to be explained step by step, and Lightworks helps keep everything organized while editing. When working with longer videos or projects that include different types of content, it is easy to move between clips, make changes, and keep the project structured without feeling lost in the timeline. This is especially helpful when updating educational content or making revisions before publishing. Another thing I like is the flexibility it provides. Features like multi-track editing, media organization, transitions, titles, audio controls and visual adjustments options help me create more polished videos without making the process feel unnecessarily complicated. Whether I am preparing health awareness content, nutrition education videos, or learning material, the workflow feels practical and manageable.

Performance has also been good during regular use. Importing media, arranging clips, making edits, and exporting completed videos generally feels smooth. Even when working on longer educational videos, the editing process has remained stable and manageable for my day to day content creation work. I also like that it works well with the files I already use for content creation, which makes implementation easier without requiring a complicated setup. What do you dislike about Lightworks?

Overall, Lightworks works well for my video editing needs, but there are a few things I do not like. The biggest challenge in the beginning was learning the interface. Compared to some simpler video editors, it takes a little time to understand where different tools and settings are located. Also, I also feel that some parts of the interface could be more modern and easier to navigate. There are many useful features available, but finding certain options is not always as straightforward as it could be, especially during the early stages of using the software. What problems is Lightworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping me solve the problem of creating and editing educational video content in a more organized way. In my work, I regularly create health awareness videos, nutrition education content, wellness guidance material, and learning resources. Without a proper editing tool, preparing this type of content can become time consuming and difficult to manage.

It helps me bring different parts of a project together and turn them into a structured video that is easier for viewers to follow. This is especially useful when I am explaining nutrition topics, healthy lifestyle habits, weight management concepts, or other educational subjects that need to be presented clearly and step by step.

Another benefit is that making changes or updating content becomes much easier. If I need to adjust a section, add new information, improve the presentation, or reorganize parts of a video, I can do that without starting the project again from the beginning. This saves time and makes content preparation more efficient.
