"Lightdash is the best business intelligence tool for a team of all sizes"

5/5

What do you like best about Lightdash?

The integrated MCP server has made it easy for our team to build with Lightdash. With this product, agentic BI feels real and practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightdash?

We moved from Lightdash to Looker. From an embedding perspective, the product still feels like it’s maturing, and some parts aren’t fully polished yet. However, do note that the product can act as a full in drop in replacement for embedded looker reporting despite that being my comment about something that I dislike. What problems is Lightdash solving and how is that benefiting you?

Looker was our BI platform for almost four years, but we never managed to get it fully adopted across our teams. At the time, agentic BI didn’t really exist, and Git-flow-based development was simply too complicated for much of our revenue and marketing operations groups. With Lightdash, our operations teams can use embedded version management and work with the Lightdash MCP server for self-serve reporting. It’s truly amazing to see. Meanwhile, our BI and data engineering team controls the core reports and core models that are exposed in Lightdash through a GitOps-based workflow. In the end, it feels like the best of both worlds.
