"LayerNext Streamlines Receipts and PO Workflow with Smooth SAP Integration"

What do you like best about LayerNext?

The best part for us is not having to match receipts by hand anymore. We set up a rule that forwards all our receipts to a dedicated inbox, and LayerNext picks them up from there and matches them. My team used to spend a lot of time on that.

The PO flow is great too. When a technician needs something, they request the PO in the mobile app. It creates the PO in SAP automatically and sends it back to them. Once the product is delivered, they upload the packing slip, the invoice and whatever other documents they have, right from the app. Later we add the payment receipt to the same record. The technicians can do all of it on the go, and everything ends up in one place, so me or a teammate can file it easily without chasing anyone.

The SAP integration was easy and didn’t take much from our side. Onboarding was good too. The LayerNext team handled it themselves and kept checking in with follow-ups afterward, which I didn’t expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LayerNext?

The AI still gets some edge cases wrong, like exceptions or unusual transactions, so we have to double-check those. I also wish approving POs was easier. Right now I have to type it in every time, and a dedicated button for that would be really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LayerNext solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before LayerNext, a big chunk of my team’s week went to typing things into SAP by hand. It was slow, kind of mind-numbing, and when you’re keying in that much, mistakes are going to happen. We were spending more time entering data than actually looking at it.

That’s what changed the most. The repetitive work is mostly gone, so we spend our time reviewing and making sure things are right instead of re-typing them. It’s also less stressful for the team. Nobody dreads the pile of manual entry anymore, and I trust the records more because there’s less hand-keying to go wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
