We also do a lot of workflow and forms integration for letter preparation and tracking of different items throughout the organization. The new features in LF Forms are also super helpful, such as being able to use one form throughout a Forms process rather than having to build a separate form for each step. Looking forward to LF12's Form Testing abilities once we upgrade as well to set 1 email for a test instance rather than replacing the email in each step and then having to change it back. **What do you dislike about Laserfiche?** Being able to restart a terminated/completed form on a given step or reverse through steps in Monitor would be super helpful. **What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Forms to automate our auditing processes so that we are not passing paper files around now that could be misplaced or locked in one person's desk while they are out of the office. We scan in documents first and then the Forms process directs who needs to do their part of the audit and gives them a link to the needed documents within the repository. This keeps documents from getting misplaced and wasted time trying to figure out where a set of documents might be around the organization. ### 7. I've created many forms and have automated processes in less than 2 hours. My favorite thing about laserfiche is there's always answers or solutions to my problem. I love how the company is innovative and efficient in evolving their product. In today's world where there's lots of cyber risk, laserfiche has always upkept with protecting sensitive data. We're slowly moving everything to electronic to help eliminate paper waste. Laserfiche offer a wonderful tool to design and create workflows to seamlessly keep documents and records for record retention. **What do you dislike about Laserfiche?** I love all of the product Laserfiche has to offer. The only thing i dislike is Empower conferences have moved to Vegas. It was such a challenge when i first started using forms back when it was version 8 or 9 something around there. now we're moving on to version 11.. big improvement! ### 12. Laserfiche has near limitless "solvability" built into it. Ranging from simple forms that collect simple data, to advanced forms that execute workflows that store data in tables and then creates a customized PDF based on a template and word merge fields. Outside of public-facing interactivity, it also has the ability to automate redundant tasks inside the repository. This software has saved The City of Arlington hundreds of hours of manual processing. **What do you dislike about Laserfiche?** Unfortunately as much as I want to love the modern designer, it simply does not have the functionality as the classic designer. CSS and JS cannot transition 1 to1, and so I am continually forced to work in the classic designer - which is not a bad thing as that is what I was "brought up" on. I believe with Workflow and Forms I can certainly improve any process, and for the most part can fully-automate it. I am not full-time IT, and yet I have been able to become proficient in the behind the scenes work to improve the work life for fellow staff, the electeds, and even the public. **What do you dislike about Laserfiche?** I really dislike their different licensing formats with Rio, Avante, etc. These random words are thrown around as if we all understand and yet that is the hardest information to find. Because of the different licensing options with in these formats, I will find staff frustrated that they cannot be full users rather than participants for simple things. That said, if we were able to have one or two full-time Laserfiche programmers in the city, we would be able to set up plenty of forms and workflows to eliminate the need for staff to directly interact with Laserfiche Client. **What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have just started at Tukwila after working 10 years for the City of Federal Way. I am bringing a new understanding of Laserfiche to the table here in Tukwila. We are currently working to input the data from our Access Database (insert shriek) into more robust contract templates so that the information and the records themselves are stored together and search capabilities are enhanced. This will make it so staff and the public can more easily locate their files. There are so many processes that I am hoping to move over to Laserfiche. ### 47. I also like the automation aspect, that is available in Workflow, that automates file storage and records management in the repository, and the automation found in Forms that automates the processing of forms, and their movement from person to person in an organization. **What do you dislike about Laserfiche?** Nothing, I love this product. It has been a lifesaver for us. **Recommendations to others considering Laserfiche:** There is no other market tool that provides a system that manages a document's life cycle as completely as Laserfiche. When considering their system, make sure to look at the Workflow piece, Laserfiche Forms, and Records Management as part of your solution; they work so well together that it is difficult to think of using their system without those pieces. **What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are taking people out of the document management process. The primary benefit is that people can focus on more value-adding work instead of spending time tracking paper, filing paper, and storing paper. A document's life cycle should be managed electronically; not a burden people have to work. ### 49.
