Hudl + Kinfolk: A True Partnership in People Ops AI

When we decided to modernize our People Operations, we weren't just looking for another HR tool. We wanted a true partner, and that's exactly what we've found with Kinfolk.

As a global company operating in 25+ countries, our lean People team was managing HR requests across Slack, email, and DMs with no ticketing system or visibility into our workload. Onboarding was also highly manual, so we needed a solution that fit into how our employees already worked and could scale with us.

What has made the biggest difference is the partnership. Before we even launched, the Kinfolk team joined us on-site for our three-day People Team AI Hackathon, giving our team hands-on experience with the platform and building excitement before implementation. From there, they worked alongside us through weekly sprint meetings, Slack channels, and feature development. What do you dislike about Kinfolk platform?

As with any tool in this space, things are changing fast and we are flying and building the plane at the same time, which at times means going slower to eventually go faster. The results have been meaningful:

Nearly 70% of HR requests are now resolved by Kinfolk without escalation, including an 80% deflection rate during U.S. Open Enrollment.

We've saved more than 10 hours each week by automating onboarding tasks and communications.

Our team now spends less time on repetitive work and more time focused on strategic priorities.

We started with HR ticketing and onboarding, but have since expanded into AI assistants for career development, promotion support, performance reviews, and flexible work requests. The platform has continued to evolve alongside our needs.
