## Kentico Reviews
  ### 1. All-in-One Flexibility with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish K. | Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

I’ve had a positive experience with Kentico. It’s a solid all-in-one platform that brings together CMS, marketing, and e-commerce features in one place. What I appreciate most is its flexibility with ASP.NET, which makes development feel smooth, while still being straightforward enough for marketers to manage content and run campaigns without much friction.

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

One downside I’ve noticed with Kentico is that it can feel a bit complex and heavy, especially for smaller projects. Compared to simpler CMS platforms, the learning curve is steeper, and customization can sometimes require a deeper understanding of ASP.NET. On top of that, licensing costs can be on the higher side for some teams.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kentico meets my need to manage content, marketing, and e-commerce all in one place. For me, it cuts down on integration effort and, paired with ASP.NET, makes development and ongoing maintenance simpler and more straightforward.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> On the smaller-project complexity point: that's fair, and it's something we're actively working on. For editors and marketers on your team, the Business user learning map sequences content management, customer journeys and user management into bite-sized modules that bring the ramp-up window down noticeably. For developers, the Xperience by Kentico documentation and the developer kickstart path are where the ASP.NET-specific patterns live.
On licensing feeling high-side for some teams — worth a fresh look at the pricing page if you haven't lately. The split between self-managed and SaaS has more flex than the perception sometimes suggests, and our partner network can sometimes bundle licensing in ways that fit smaller engagements better. If a specific client scenario doesn't math out, that's the fastest way to unblock it.

  ### 2. flexible, CMS with strong support for marketing autonomy and multi-channel content delivery

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** hari S. | Senior system analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

I like Kentico because it has an intuitive, flexible interface that works well for both marketers and developers. What stands out most to me is that it’s an all-in-one digital experience platform, combining content management, marketing automation, and e-commerce capabilities in one place.

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

One of the main concerns is the pricing, which some people feel has drifted away from being truly mid-market friendly. Others also point out that more advanced customizations often require developer involvement, which can make it a less ideal fit for teams that don’t have strong technical resources.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kentico addresses several key challenges for businesses by offering an all-in-one Digital Experience Platform (DXP) that combines content management, digital marketing, and e-commerce in one place. It helps organizations streamline their digital operations by enabling them to manage websites, mobile apps, email campaigns, and social media through a single, centralized platform.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> If your team hasn't re-examined the pricing page since the Xperience by Kentico tiers were restructured, it's worth a fresh look: the current split between self-managed and SaaS has more flex for mid-market than the perception sometimes suggests.
On the point about advanced customizations still requiring developer involvement — that's partly an extensibility trade-off we've explicitly chosen, but we're aware it becomes friction when teams want to iterate independently. The investments underway — more no-code content modeling, asset handling improvements in the Content hub, and AI-assisted workflows — are specifically aimed at reducing how often a marketing change has to travel through the dev backlog.

  ### 3. Centralized Content Management with Kentico Shines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nitesh k. | Software developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

I appreciate Kentico's ease of use and comprehensive documentation which makes setup straightforward. The platform excels in centralized content management, offering numerous features that improve speed and reduce costs. I find the page creation tools and marketing capabilities to be highly beneficial. The centralized nature and evolving features, including AI tools for content management and marketing, are aligned with my technical needs and enhance our development tasks.

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

I used to hate the media library because it took a lot of time to use, but it has been improved and is now not as much of an issue since they changed it to a content hub.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Kentico centralizes content management, enhancing speed and reducing costs. It offers extensive features like page building and marketing tools, boosting my productivity and enabling me to distribute content across multiple channels efficiently.

**Official Response from Kentico Team:**

> Thank you for your kind words! We’re pleased that both you and your clients have benefited from Kentico. Media rendering improvements have been a focus in Xperience by Kentico, our latest version, and we’re confident you’ll see further enhancements.

  ### 4. Powerful All-in-One CMS with Flexibility—Though Onboarding and UI Could Be Smoother

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ifigenia A. | Director of Digital Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

Kentico’s biggest strength is how well it brings content management, marketing, and integrations into a single platform. From a day-to-day perspective, the page builder and structured content approach make it easy for both technical and non-technical users to collaborate. The drag-and-drop interface, combined with reusable components, has significantly reduced the time it takes us to launch and iterate on pages.

Another standout is its flexibility on the development side. We’ve been able to integrate Kentico into broader ecosystems (CRM, APIs, and custom applications) without hitting the typical limitations you find in more rigid CMS platforms. This has been particularly valuable when aligning websites with marketing automation platforms like HubSpot.

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

While Kentico is powerful, there is a learning curve—especially for new users who are not familiar with CMS platforms. Some areas of the UI could be more intuitive, particularly when managing more complex content structures or workflows.

Additionally, certain advanced customizations still require developer involvement, which can slow things down slightly compared to more plug-and-play platforms. Improvements in documentation and onboarding for non-technical users would make a big difference.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kentico solves the challenge of fragmented digital experiences—where content, marketing, and data sit across multiple disconnected tools.

Before using Kentico, managing websites often meant juggling a CMS, marketing platforms, and custom integrations separately, which slowed down campaigns and created inconsistencies. Kentico brings these together into a single, unified platform.

For us, this has had a clear benefit. We can manage content, personalise user journeys, and integrate with CRM and marketing tools much more efficiently. It reduces reliance on multiple systems, cuts down manual work, and allows both technical and marketing teams to collaborate more effectively.

In practical terms, this means faster campaign launches, more consistent messaging across channels, and improved conversion rates because we can deliver more relevant, personalised experiences to users.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> Your onboarding and UI feedback is exactly the kind of signal we need, and it's fair. For the non-technical editors coming onto your account, the Business user learning map is probably the single most useful resource we have — it sequences content management, customer journeys, and user management into bite-sized modules designed to reduce the learning curve.
On the advanced customizations still needing developer involvement — that's a real trade-off of our extensibility model. Where we're investing is in making more of the everyday work (content modeling, asset handling, AI-assisted tagging) no-code. If you'd like to share which specific flows are slowing your team down, the Kentico Community is where our product team actively listens, and I'd encourage your team to raise those there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

the UX the simplicity, how easy it is to integrate with other projects, the performance and not to mention the AI assistance as well as the tech support when ever you have a problem

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

pricing could be better, for a simple project it is a bit on the expensive side.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to worry about missing data, security is always there. I have been using it for several years now, and kentico is always up and running. therefor gives me the peace in mind when I recommend it to clients.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> On pricing for simpler projects, that feedback is landing at the right time. If you haven't looked at the current pricing page recently, it's worth a fresh look — the tiering is more flexible than it was a couple of years ago.
If you ever hit a specific client scenario where the pricing math doesn't work, our partner network and support team are good places to start — partners can sometimes bundle licensing in ways that fit smaller engagements better.

  ### 9. Flexible with Seamless Integrations but Complex Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rubel M. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

I like the flexibility that Kentico offers. The wide range of integrations is a big plus as well, since it makes it easy to build connected digital experiences without starting from scratch. This flexibility and these integrations save time and make the builds more powerful.

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

I can say that complexity. It can have a steeper learning curve when more involves setup process, compared to simpler CMS platforms, which can slow down onboarding. So a more streamlined admin interface and better out of the box configuration would make it more accessible for a smaller team item. I would say challenging.

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kentico for its wide range of integrations, making it easy to build connected digital experiences without starting from scratch, saving time and creating powerful builds.

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> The closest thing we have to a fast on-ramp is the Business user learning map for editors plus the developer kickstart next steps for the technical team. Paired with the free Kbank demo environment, a new team can get hands-on with a realistic project inside a day or two, which shortens the onboarding window meaningfully.
On the "better out-of-the-box configuration" ask — that's a direct product signal and exactly the kind of feedback that shapes our roadmap. The Kentico Community Q&A is where our product team sees these threads, so if you want to dig into specific admin UI moments that felt overcomplicated, that's where to raise them.

  ### 10. Flexible, Code-First CMS That Empowers Client Sites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean B. | CTO / Senior full stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Kentico?**

As a content management system, I love the flexibility I can provide clients. As a developer, I love the code first approach that enables me to craft sites I using my favourite tools

**What do you dislike about Kentico?**

I don’t like that it doesn’t include as many features as the previous versions but it is getting there with constant refreshes

**What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps provide a content management solution for our clients and in some instances, it is a good marketing tool for then

**Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:**

> On the feature parity point with previous versions: that's a well-calibrated take, and you're right that constant refreshes are how we're closing the gap. Our feature-by-feature migration strategy guide is worth bookmarking — it shows what's in XbyK now, what's on the roadmap, and what the effort looks like for anything you're considering bringing over from KX13. The changelog is where every refresh lands, and the cadence has been deliberate. If there's a specific KX13 feature you or your clients rely on that still feels missing, the Kentico Community is where those threads get traction with our product team. Roadmap asks posted there get read.
