## About Keboola
Keboola is a finance data and AI platform for companies that need trusted financial reporting, planning, analysis, and close processes across complex systems. Built for CFOs, FP&A teams, Controllers, finance operations, and data teams, Keboola helps organizations turn fragmented data from ERPs, accounting systems, spreadsheets, CRM, warehouses, and operational tools into one governed foundation for financial intelligence. Many finance teams rely on disconnected systems, inconsistent charts of accounts, manual reconciliations, and spreadsheet-based reporting. This makes it difficult to close quickly, produce reliable forecasts, answer board questions, support acquisitions, or use AI safely with financial data. Keboola solves this upstream data problem by connecting, standardizing, transforming, and governing financial data before it reaches FP&A, CPM, BI, reporting, or AI tools. Keboola is especially valuable for multi-entity companies, private-equity-backed businesses, holding groups, financial services firms, franchises, and organizations growing through M&A. These companies often operate across multiple ERPs, entities, countries, currencies, and reporting definitions. Keboola helps standardize chart-of-accounts logic, automate financial data pipelines, reconcile data across systems, and create trusted business definitions that teams can use consistently. Unlike traditional FP&A, CPM, EPM, budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting tools that assume clean data already exists, Keboola focuses on the governed data foundation underneath. The platform gives teams transparent, auditable logic for financial transformations, source-to-output lineage, reusable business rules, and a semantic layer that helps ensure reports, dashboards, forecasts, and AI outputs are based on trusted company data. Keboola works alongside existing tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Anaplan, Pigment, DataRails, Workiva, and other finance and analytics platforms. Rather than forcing a rip-and-replace project, Keboola strengthens the data layer beneath these systems so finance teams can plan, report, reconcile, and analyze with greater confidence. For AI adoption, Keboola provides the governed data environment that makes AI practical for business-critical financial workflows. Teams can connect AI agents and assistants to approved metrics, trusted pipelines, financial definitions, and auditable data products, reducing the risk of confident but untraceable answers. With Keboola, organizations can improve financial analysis, accelerate reporting, support financial close, automate reconciliation workflows, enable more reliable FP&A, and create a trusted foundation for AI-powered finance.

## Keboola Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlines Data Prep with Some Learning Curves

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vojta F. | IT manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

I like Keboola's clear interface and the wide range of data connections. The ready-made connections to services like Google Analytics and ERP systems are very good. It simplifies working with data, allowing us to get data from the system with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

Working with data types in tables is a little more complicated and sometimes requires more trial and error before everything can be set up correctly. I would like more detailed help on 'what's wrong' when a transformation fails, especially in the case of data type errors. There's a situation where a data source, like Oracle, downloads data into a table in Keboola, and when this process is repeated, Keboola thinks it is a certain type, but the database sends a different one.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Keboola for transforming data from multiple sources and preparing it for BI. It solves problems with various data sources, formats, consolidation, and cleaning, allowing fast data analysis. It simplifies data work with a clear interface and many ready-made connections, saving us time and effort.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Thank you very much, Vojta! We're glad you find Keboola clear and accessible, especially with SQL-based processing across various data sources—it's great to hear you're benefiting from our free tier, too. We'll keep working hard to continuously enhance the platform. Feel free to reach out anytime—happy analyzing! ML

 ### 2. Effortless Data Management with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavel S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

I have been using Keboola for three years on a daily basis for all data manipulation needs in our company, and I absolutely love its intuitive and easy setup for data flows. The ease with which I can set up data flows, regardless of the type of connector I need, is remarkable. This makes handling diverse data sources seamless by standardizing them into a single table effortlessly. Furthermore, the support team is incredible; they always provide amazing assistance for any questions or problems that arise. The initial setup was really easy for my team, which certainly boosts our productivity. Overall, my experience with Keboola has been extremely positive, and I would score it 9 out of 10 for recommending it to others, contingent mainly on having colleagues or friends who require such a solution.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

I find the Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) a bit confusing at times, particularly in how a small change in the first step of a transformation can have unforeseen impacts on later stages. It's getting better with new features, but it still poses a challenge.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Keboola to standardize diverse data sources into a single table, and its easy flow setup and excellent support enhance our data manipulation efficiency.

 ### 3. Helps connect multiple sources into perfect report, but social media connectors need improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

It allows us to work with multiple sources while creating our internal performance report. We use only small parts of what Keboola offers, yet it has helped us a lot. Even someone without knowledge about SQL and other technical details was able to implement our service, with customer support always happy to help - if possible.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

Some of the connectors do not work well - and that is our main pain point, as we are constantly fighting to keep the data coming from social media sites.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting multiple sources into one report is a difficult task in our moder times, and that is where Keboola shines, as it was able to connect to our exisitng Looker studio report.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with Keboola! 🙏
We’re thrilled to hear that Keboola has helped you streamline your reporting and connect multiple sources with ease.

 ### 4. Keboola is a great starter

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal P. | Data Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

It is there easy to setup from the beginning giving you fresh start when you need POC or smaller data project. It has many connectors , APIs to most common services, great support, wide user base providing you with many custom components. You can chain those components to flows and schedule the to run at particular times or being triggered by events.
It is easy to learn and give access to even newbies to play with.
There is visible progress in time with new features added.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

Limited oversight what going on in the project you administer. Few access roles you have does not give you enough control of who can edit or trigger selected flows. It is either all or nothing. You can have multiple branches but conflict resolution was a big no to avoid it, no way to have pull requests.
The overhead running transformation is more significant running small jobs, what database returns you in seconds can take tens of seconds to finish in Keboola.
Billing is also something surprising to me. Especially running Python there to develop is something to better avoid.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to learn and setup tool to show we can extract data and do analysis on top of it to show results in days/weeks.
ELT tool that can be given access to to anyone.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience with Keboola! 🙏
We’re glad to hear that you find Keboola easy to set up, flexible for POCs and smaller data projects, and that our growing feature set and support team have been helpful along the way.

We also really appreciate your insights about access control, performance, and billing transparency. Feedback like yours helps us refine these areas to make Keboola even more powerful and efficient for all users.

Thanks again for your trust and for helping us improve! 🚀 ML

 ### 5. All-in-One Powerhouse for Coders, But Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam W. | University Advisor @ University of Colorado, Colorado Spring, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

I love that it all makes my life easier as a coder and data analytics. It’s all in one tool.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

I dislike that there is a steep learning curve because it’s feature heavy.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s allowing me to truly understand and analyze my data in a low code environment. For someone that has a non software engineering background, this is the perfect tool to get the insights from my data.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your experience with Keboola! 🙏
We’re thrilled to hear that Keboola helps make your work easier and brings everything you need for coding and data analytics into one place.

We understand your point about the learning curve — Keboola offers a lot of flexibility and power, which can take a bit of time to get used to. We’re actively improving our onboarding experience and adding more guided content to make it easier for everyone to get started quickly.

Thanks again for your feedback and for being part of the Keboola community! 🚀 ML

 ### 6. A good tool for data processing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vojtěch A. | Senior PPC specialist and web analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

I started using Keboola because I needed a replacement for the non-working Sklik connector for Looker Studio. And I've stuck with Keboola. The fact that I've seen mention of it in a number of job postings, and apparently it's commonly used in the industry, also played a role.

What I appreciate about it is the ability to download and process data from each system, ready-made templates and more. You get 120 minutes of time for free to start and then 60 minutes each month. This gives you a decent amount of time to learn and try everything out.

And not to forget the friendly customer support. Without it, I wouldn't be able to do as much as I can.

And I also appreciate the AI's help with writing Snowflake transformations, where especially a beginner can save a ton of time.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

Where I see its disadvantage is the fragmentation around setting up individual services. Each service has its own logic and might be worth unifying somehow.

The other thing I'm not a fan of is the Keboola Academy. I don't know why, but I found it hard to use. So I soon started looking for information elsewhere and eating by trial and error.

Maybe make it more practical and then for a beginner not be so quick to delete their projects. I didn't get around to it for two weeks and I already got an email around deleting the project.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the beginning it was a replacement for a non-working connector for Looker Studio, but it grew to a bigger size over time. My goal now is to use Keboola to download and process data from various services for Looker Studio. And eventually try more advanced things.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Hi Vojtech!

Thank you for your detailed and honest review! We're really glad that Keboola has grown with your needs—from solving an initial issue with Looker Studio to becoming a more advanced tool in your data workflow. It's also great to hear our templates, free tier, and AI-assisted transformations have been helpful, especially as you're getting started. And thank you for the kind words about our support team—they’ll be happy to hear it.

We really appreciate your feedback on the setup experience, the Academy, and project retention—it’s clear and actionable, and we’ll definitely take it into account as we work on making the platform more beginner-friendly and consistent. Thanks again for taking the time to share your journey.

 ### 7. Keboola - Streamlined Search, Complex Inserts – A Balanced Take

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh R. | Data Informatics Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

Effortless Table Search: The ability to search for tables in storage is fast, accurate, and very user-friendly.

Column-Level Search: Searching for a specific column across tables is exceptionally smooth, saving time during data exploration.

Data Sample Feature: The option to preview a limited number of rows from a table helps with quick validation and data checks.

Simple Table Creation: Creating new tables is straightforward and efficient, with a clean UI that supports rapid schema setup.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

Complex Insert Process: Inserting data into tables is not as intuitive as it should be, particularly when dealing with primary key definitions and updates.

Lack of Duplicate Row Logs: When duplicate rows are rejected due to primary key constraints, there’s no clear log showing how many rows were skipped or what those rows contained. A detailed error log would be highly beneficial.

Unintuitive Table Naming Convention: Table names include hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_), which can be problematic when integrating with other systems or adhering to naming standards.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized Data Operations: Keboola allows me to manage data pipelines, transformations, and storage in one place, reducing the need for multiple tools and simplifying the overall workflow.

Faster Data Discovery: The ability to quickly search for tables and columns saves me significant time when navigating large datasets or preparing data for analysis.

Quick Data Validation: The data sampling feature helps me instantly preview data without needing to run full queries—making troubleshooting and QA faster and more efficient.

Streamlined Table Setup: I can create new tables quickly without relying on complex scripts or external tools, allowing me to focus more on data logic than configuration.

Overall, Keboola accelerates my data engineering tasks, improves collaboration across teams by centralizing processes, and simplifies many of the repetitive steps typically involved in managing ETL workflows.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Thank you very much, Rajesh, for your thorough and balanced feedback! We're delighted to hear you're finding great value in Keboola's table and column search capabilities, quick data sampling, and simplified table creation.

Your insights on data insertion complexities, especially regarding primary key handling and clearer duplicate row logging, are extremely valuable. We've noted your suggestion about the naming conventions as well, and we'll definitely take it into consideration to improve system compatibility.

We're committed to making your experience even smoother, so feel free to reach out anytime if you'd like assistance or to discuss these points further. Thanks again for helping us grow! ML

 ### 8. My Experience with Keboola as a Junior Data Analyst

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zbyněk V. | Data Quality Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

I have to say that coming across Keboola at the beginning of my career as a Data Analyst was the best experience I could have had. The integration with Snowflake works flawlessly, making the workspaces intuitive. Keboola works even better when a company has strong Data Governance. The Keboola Academy helped me the most at the start, but I still return to it—and as I gain more experience, I continue to get even deeper context from it.
I use Keboola almost on a daily basis. I haven’t needed to contact customer support, as my supervisor is able to answer all of my questions.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

So far, I haven’t come across many things that would seriously bother me or make my work more difficult. However, one thing I do find frustrating is that after an error occurs in a transformation or configuration, the AI Explain tool doesn't work very well.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with Salesforce when addressing or solving data quality issues

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Hi Zbynek,

Thank you for such a thoughtful and inspiring review!!!

We’re especially honored to hear that Keboola has been a positive part of your journey as a junior data analyst. That’s exactly what we strive for: making data work approachable, intuitive, and powerful for users at every stage of their career. It’s also great to hear that the Keboola Academy has been a useful companion as you’ve grown — we love knowing it’s helping both beginners and more advanced users alike.

Thanks for pointing out the issue with the AI Explain tool — that’s really valuable feedback. We know that error handling is a key moment in the data development workflow, and we’re continuously working to improve the accuracy and helpfulness of our error explanations, especially with AI assistance. Your experience will help guide those improvements.

Keep up the amazing work — we’re excited to keep supporting you as you continue to grow your skills and impact through data. ML

 ### 9. The Must Have Data Platform to Prepare for AI Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot F. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

Keboola is the tool every business should be using right now if they want to centralise their data, streamline operations and lay the foundation for AI. The platform makes it incredibly easy to connect data sources, automate transformation workflows and get data ready for analysis all without needing a large engineering team. The flexibility to use both no code and code based components (SQL/Python) is a game changer and it empowers both analysts and engineers to collaborate in one place.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, especially if you're not used to data pipeline tools, but the documentation is strong and the customer support is excellent. Once you’ve built your first few pipelines, everything clicks into place.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Keboola, data was scattered across systems, spreadsheets and cloud apps. Now, we have a centralised, governed data infrastructure that supports everything from basic dashboards to advanced AI use cases. We’re saving hours every week on manual reporting and have drastically improved data accuracy. Most importantly, we’re now in a strong position to start deploying AI and machine learning tools across the business because our data is clean, connected and under control.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Hi Elliot,

Thank you so much for this incredible review — it really means a lot coming from you.

You perfectly captured what we aim to deliver with Keboola: a flexible, powerful platform that makes collaboration easy and helps teams move fast without getting bogged down in complexity. It's amazing to hear how Keboola has helped you streamline operations and lay a solid data foundation for your AI initiatives.

We’re especially lucky to have you as part of the Keboola community. Your insight, feedback, and support over the years have been a huge part of our journey — and we’re always excited to see what you’ll build next.

Here’s to even more data wins ahead! ML

 ### 10. Keboola is an invaluable data assistant.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal K. | Head of Business Intelligence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Keboola?**

What I like most is that Keboola is a very simple tool, allowing even a single person to manage the data pipelines of a large company.

**What do you dislike about Keboola?**

I would require better data transferring. I’d appreciate an improved way to move tables from one data bucket to another.

**What problems is Keboola solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keboola solves the complexity of managing and automating data pipelines. It helps unify data from various sources, transform it, and move it to the right destinations — all without needing a large data engineering team.

The biggest benefit for me is how easy it is to use. Even as a single person, I can manage the data operations of a large company. I don’t need to write complex code for every task, and thanks to Keboola’s modular approach, I can build and monitor pipelines quickly and reliably.

Additionally, it saves a lot of time and reduces errors, because many steps are automated or standardized. But I would appreciate better support for transferring tables between data buckets, as that part could be more user-friendly.

**Official Response from Martin Lepka:**

> Hi Michal,

Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience — it really means a lot to us!

We’re thrilled to hear that Keboola helps you manage the data operations of a large company as a single person. Making data work simpler, faster, and more scalable for individuals and small teams is one of our core goals, so your feedback hits home.

You also bring up an important point — the current process of moving tables between buckets could definitely be smoother. You’re not alone in this request, and we hear you. We’re actively looking into how we can improve data bucket management and make table transfers more intuitive and efficient.

Thanks again for your thoughtful review — and for trusting Keboola as your “data assistant.” If you ever want to share more feedback or ideas, we’d love to chat! ML
