## Karma Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless Teammate Recognition Right in Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilva M. | UX designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Karma?**

I like that Karma makes it really easy to recognize and appreciate teammates in the moment. It fits naturally into Slack, so giving positive feedback doesn’t feel like extra work and helps create a more supportive team culture.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Sometimes it can feel a bit superficial, people might give “++” out of habit rather than for meaningful contributions. It can also turn into a popularity thing, where more visible team members get more recognition, while others get overlooked.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Karma helps make recognition more visible and frequent in the team. It solves the problem of good work going unnoticed, especially in a busy or remote environment. For me, it’s beneficial because it creates a more positive atmosphere and helps highlight contributions that might otherwise be missed.

 ### 2. Increased positive empowering in our 100% remote team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoltan B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Karma helped implementing an open remote environment with positive feedbacks. It was really easy to implement with Slack and we leveraged on the automated gift card feature to incentivise team members who do a lot for our team and our progress. Nice stats, simple web console, not much to dislike.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

We are a portfolio of companies with a huge enterprise Slack workspace and while Karma handles this with ease, it would be nice to be able to enable/disable Karma for individual users to avoid paying for users we don't want to include in our program.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kiving kudos to our remote team members in a playful and translarent way.

 ### 3. Great Recognition Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlin M. | Head of People & Culture, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Karma?**

The tool is very easy to use and recognize employees on Slack and on the website. There are also many redeemable gift card options that will suit a large variety of our employees needs.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Nothing comes to mind, we have been happy with the product and product support.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Karma enables employees to recognize each other for accomplishments and showing our core values at work.

 ### 4. A seamless way to implement peer to peer feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ingus R. | CTO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We've been using Karma for years already. It's very natural extension of our Slack usage that nobody even notices it's a separate product. The product is used on a daily basis by our team of 200+ people from field technicians to office employees.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Nothing to note to be honest, the product is simple, yet functional.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It encourages the employees to recognize each others work and provide small financial "thank you" for the colleagues who have helped with certain tasks.

 ### 5. A great tool for employee recognition & motivation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reece C. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Karma is deeply integrated with Slack, which means it's quick and easy for our teams to use without additional logins.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Nothing I can think of right now - Karma meets all our needs.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Karma allows our employees to recongise each other quickly and easily.

 ### 6. Great tool to motivate the team in a hybrid or remote work era

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** César P. | Cofundador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Karma?**

The ease of use, the striking interface, and the connection with Slack.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

I would like the redemption of incentives to also be available with connection for Mexico.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Public recognition through incentives, which also align with our company values, is something Karma helps us with perfectly.

 ### 7. Increased Recognition & Happiness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karoline S. | Vice President, People & Culture, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Working with Karmabot has drastically helped to improve recognition at Mission. We are a company that greatly values work-life balance so we support a remote workforce, whether that’s 100% remote or from time to time as needed.

One of the downsides of this flexibility is that we don’t always have the opportunity to provide recognition to each other face to face. Karmabot fills that gap by allowing team members to send each other recognition at any time of the day and from any location through Slack.

Not only has the frequency of recognition increased, but team members have reported an increase in happiness and connection after the implementation of this tool. Managers have also been provided with an opportunity to learn about helpful behavior among team members that they may not have otherwise heard about through the openness and transparency this tool provides.

Karmabot has also helped us to further embed our core values in our daily lives by being able to reference a core value in each piece of recognition. This tool’s flexibility and the company’s responsiveness and willingness to work with us to find solutions to our needs is something you don’t always experience.

It has been an absolutely positive experience working with Karmabot. If you are looking for a great way to help increase recognition and happiness within your organization with a company that is responsive and will proactively work with you to find solutions that fit your company’s needs I would recommend working with Karmabot.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

No downsides. It's an easy to use tool that is flexible to adapt to our needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Give it a try. It's super fast to set up and integrate to Slack and employees love it.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved happiness, increased recognition, and further embedding of our core values.

 ### 8. Great tool to support team culture and engagement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We launched with Karma earlier this year after reviewing and piloting a few other recognition tools. Karma is an excellent employee recognition tool that hit the sweet spot of feature functionality, usability, and cost. I had used Karma at a previous company and always enjoyed the ease of use as an end-user. As we launched, it allowed us to quickly and publicly recognize our colleagues on our medium of choice (Slack). When we launched at my current company, I had the opportunity to work with the Karma team to make sure we were getting the most out of the tool. Most notably, we were able to map our company values into the tool. This added a new dimension to our recognition efforts which was more rewarding to the team and gave managers more insight into where their team members were showing up strong within the organization.

Adoption was seamless. We launched, and recognition via Karma spread pretty virally through our org.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

The automated attribution of the values was sporadic. If we didn't include the right keywords, the value attribution missed fairly often. The value attribution requires a bit more tuning of the keywords over time to improve the success rate. Not terribly, but just feels "off" when it misses.

The other area I would love to see improvements is with user/group management. The team/group structure for driving access to Karma was a little unwieldy. My company is 6K employees, but only a small subset of that Slack user population needed access to Karma, so mapping to and maintaining that subset of users required a bit more care and feeding as we onboarded additional team members.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved Employee Engagement, Team Building, Unifying around company culture, cost-effectiveness.

 ### 9. Great way for a team to acknowledge appreciation of their teammates!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MJ H. | Sr. Director of Digital Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Karma is simple to use and get set up. Our sales rep has been extremely helpful all along the way, so we have felt supported from the beginning. One initial concern we had with looking for this type of app was that it was going to take a lot to have to admin, but that has not been the case so far. The team's feedback and usage has been overwhelming as well, particularly since it easily intergrated into Slack, which is what we use for our primary communication channel across the organization.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Some reward types require a manual setup, if the gift card reward we want to offer is not part of the initial catalog. It isn't a dealbreaker at all, but does add a touch of time to the initial setup.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

We implement thru the use of Slack as our chat method of communication for the team. Having this integrated makes it simple for the team to use, which has ensured that the team utilizes regularly.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted a more transparent way for our teams to acknowledge when someone helps out an individual directly. In a group environment, it's nice to get a "thank you" after assisting with a task, or going out of one's way to help resolve an issue. However, we wanted to tie it to something more tangible for those that the team feels is excelling. I love that we can make feedback have a financial value for the team member as well. A pat on the back is great, but getting something additional in one's pocket as well is even better.

 ### 10. Increased Team Comaraderie

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy F. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Our team loves KarmaBot. We launched in January of 2020, just a few months before the pandemic hit and we went fully remote. Karma played a significant role in keeping us connected. I love browsing the Karma channel to see what's going on, and it's always especially fun to see the inter-department praise.
Even more so than receiving Karma, I think individuals love being able to acknowledge their peers in a fun and meaningful way.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

None so far! We have seamlessly integrated.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned, we implemented Karma prior to the pandemic and resulting shut downs. The original objective was to foster peer engagement and recognition. Not only have we answered this with Karma, it has really served to help keep the team connected while we are remote.

 ### 11. Great tool for a team culture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Karma?**

I like the simplicity of use and ease of implementation.
It is a fun tool that encourages all employees to participate and appreciate each other work.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

I like EVERYTHING, especially its simplicity.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing the team closer together encourages positive cross departments communication to build happier and stronger teams.

 ### 12. Amazing recognition product, simplistic use and implementation and quick adoption

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor S. | Head of GSSC Costa Rica, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

the simplicity of use and implementation
the look and feel make if fun

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

The reporting part could be enhanced to provide a better visibility to administrator
The setup is not yet managing Group of people or reporting relationships

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Very smart tool if you are using Microsoft Teams

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a Shared Service Center, we were having a old school hall of fame which was missing the target to encourage everyone to make the extra step and rewarding always the same guys. With this app, everyone can reward everyone around company values, it impacts positively much more employees and we have reduced our reward budget by 50%

 ### 13. Karma Bot in the classroom

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

As our school closed for lockdown, we quickly moved to the Microsoft Teams platform to continue teaching and learning. We needed a way to give the students praise the same way that they would receive it in the classroom. We give Karma for attending lessons on time, returning assignments and active engagement on the teaching platform. Our students are loving it, and compete for points by turning up for lessons and doing their work! We have found Karma Bot invaluable to our success for keeping our students engaged with teaching and learning. Support is fast, friendly and we are very pleased with this product!

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

I must say, there is nothing I dislike about Karma Bot.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Try it for yourself!

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have found a way to encourage students to engage with learning in an online classroom. With input from all our teachers, we created rewards that our students strived for, like a call home from the Head Teacher to let your parents know how well they're doing or an Amazon voucher and many more great rewards. We set our values high for our students to achieve. Our students are working harder to get Karma points. The dashboard is visible to all students, which encourages everyone to get on the board but more importantly, work towards the school values to achieve karma points, which in turn means that our students are learning!

 ### 14. Used for Rewards during remote learning for our school

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kat C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

This app worked very well with our students. It gave them motivation to carry on through the COVID -19 remote learning. It was quick, efficient and very easy to use and track.
It is perfect in MS Teams as all our learning was on there.
We could set our own rewards which were things like - assignment pass, choose who to go in a break out room with, etc.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

It would be great if there was a way to track who claimed which prize.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a great way to keep our students motivated and reward them for their work, participation and attitude.

 ### 15. The most customizable peer-to-peer recognition system.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Addison R. | Information Technology Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Karma allows the creation of value categories. These allow you to praise peers on a specific trait or value of the company through the de-facto Karma award system or through micro-Karma.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

There is some friction in accessing the scores and leaderboards, but this speaks more to limitations in Slack than of the product itself.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Karma to encourage participation and discussion for a virtual learning program.

 ### 16. Remote community bound together by Karma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackson P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Giving and receiving karma has gotten more and more intuitive. It's an elegant means of tracking and promoting positive sentiment in our online community.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Initially, the "++" which took some retraining to properly use – but since they've upgraded to keyword-based praise, nothing. Great add-on.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Would recommend getting creative with keywords. Lots of room for unique community bonding using keywords of praise.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fully remote community doing entirely different projects – how do you get them to bond and collaborate effectively?

It caused an interesting shift - people actually use praise as a means of currency within the currency. And accumulated praise never goes unnoticed.

 ### 17. Helps to be grateful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arina C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

It's a perfect tool for our team. Karmabot has long been part of our daily work.
Karmabot is currently integrated with our Slack. The process is very simple and takes only a few seconds. Usability allows our team members to use this tool whenever possible. And new employees immediately understand how Karmabot works.
Also, we see a weekly rating of everyone who got Karma. It is a great motivation to do even more for colleagues and the company.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Our team hasn't had any problems during the whole time of using Karmabot.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Try this tool. Maybe this is exactly what your team needs.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's always nice when even a little effort is appreciated. And especially this is a great way to say "thank you".

 ### 18. Customer Support Response

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yosef Benny W. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Customer support response was great! Also, they received suggestions with an open minded.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Nothing for now, but will contact or give suggestions in the future.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

As a team member we should support each other and Karma is a great sample to do it better.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can support and appreciate teams partner better.

 ### 19. It works, it scales, it's better than the original Karma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We were obliged to migrate from hipchat to slack. We liked Karma for peer recognition of our teams. Karma Bot does everything we were looking for and has additional capabilities to help motivate and encourage our teams.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

I haven't found any challenges that I wasn't able to solve with using the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

it's a great tool - easy to implement with Slack. We may explore implementing it with Teams as well.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to make it easy for teams to provide immediate recognition and motivation. While the use of the tool varies among teams, those that pick it up and use it really like it. It's easy to recognize a colleague for a job well done.

 ### 20. Best MicroFeedback App Out of 3 I Tested

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

1. the ability to align feedback with core values
2. emoji weights +/- and self learning keyword recognition if someone doesn't proactively dap
3. Leaderboards and reports useful for performance reviews

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

1. That emoji microkarma weights can't go higher than .1

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Take the time to tune it to your core values

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Better feedback as a CEO/manager.
- Combats recency bias in performance reviews
- Actively optimizing towards activities that are in alignment with core values.

 ### 21. Easy employee bonds during remote work phase

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🥛 L. | Co-Founder and CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Integrates easily with our company chat and provides peer appreciation opportunities people remember.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

It’s currently integrated with our Slack, but we also love to send out group emails. It’s a bit of a hack how we do it now. I heard more features are developing, so looking forward to them!

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

This is an easy win for HR departments looking to increase employee engagement

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote work employee bonds

 ### 22. Sweet and easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blaine M. | Director of Software Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

The most helpful thing about the bot is the ease with how it works. Simple ++ or --. Easy, quick way for someone to recognize something they like about what another person did. These micro recognitions throughout the day go a long way.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Not a whole lot to dislike. Every time I've wished there was a feature, or a different way something worked, I've mentioned it and within a week or less they were able to get the feature added. Amazing attention to customer desires.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Simple and effective tool to quickly allow folks to recognize others. Simplistic, yet powerful in it's simplicity to use. It is easily adoptable due to it's simplicity and rollout was a breeze.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of not recognizing when someone does something good that is above and beyond to help you. If you ask another colleague to help with something outside of their role, giving karma is a super easy/quick way to say thank you to that person. This also allows others to see who are our biggest above and beyond supporters.

 ### 23. Great tool to boost peer recognition and add some fun to slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariyana G. | Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We have recently replaced our peer recognition system with the Karma bot for Slack and people are using it ten times more. They enjoy how interactive it is and experiment with the number of karma points they can give with a different number of ++++. The fact that we can set up our company's values in the tool is a great feature because this way the positive behaviours that are being recognized can be linked directly to the company values. It's fun, it's colorful, it's positive and helps us build the right company culture.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

So far I have not found anything that I dislike.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main benefits is encouraging peer recognition and incorporating tangible rewards into it.
The other is having the appreciation channel, which is basically a live stream of role-model behaviour linked to our company values that helps us better explain and promote them.

 ### 24. Karma boosts the positive feedback for our team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dalen A. | Team Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We have a small team that would otherwise not be inclined to provide each other feedback. Karma gives them a quick, safe, and easy way to recognize each other's contributions and impact to our team.

We also love the rewards as we've been able to use these to motivate behaviors that would otherwise be hard to track and recognize with such a small team. The Rewards make the positive behaviors turn into real value for our teammates. Its a really great way to reinforce the culture we want for our team.

Finally, it was easy for our team to learn to use even though they are very much novices with Slack. They started using Slack this year, and adding Karma was a very simple addition.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

It would be great to have more of the feature available on the Karma website directly available with Slack. This is more of an issue with how Slack works than Karma, but there's a lot of great features on the Karma site that would be great to have directly within Slack.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

We kept everything pretty simple, and made sure the rewards are tangible and achievable. Its super simple to add to Slack (and probably Teams).

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Karma gives out teammates a quick and easy way to recognize the impact their peers make to the team. These moments would have normally gone unnoticed. Now the team looks for these and this reinforces the positive behaviors and builds our team culture.

Karma adds a level of fun to our process. Since we are a sports team (softball), we use Karma to highlight great contributions and impacts our players give to the team. We use this to show the team the types of impacts that matter most. It has replaced helmet stickers for us.

 ### 25. A great tool to create positive culture for a remote team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomohiro T. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Most of our team works remotely, so Slack is our office. Karma bot helps us to share good momentum within the team and help others to visually praise it. It makes a positive and supportive culture even when we do not see others in person often.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Some people do not use Slack much, so there are some barriers to try to engage with those people. (This might not be relevant to Karma bot itself though)

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

If your Slack is anther office for your team, you want to care about the culture there. Karma bot is one of the great tools to take care of it.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to praise others, but sometimes there are barriers to do so casually. Karma bot helps us to do it easily, and also having this kind of tool itself has a message to a team that we care about the culture.

 ### 26. Best appreciation software ever!

I am not sure. I think everything is there.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employees need recognition. But people forget to say Thank you. Karma makes my team happy.

 ### 27. Most used MS Teams plugin of the year !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John B. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

The ability for teams to define their own rewards for redemption, the leaderboards, the visibility it brings to what people are being recognised for, the ability to define our core values and tag a value against a karma reason !

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

The reporting was restricted to only exporting the top 50 in csv format BUT the karma team fixed that in under 48 hours ! The best software experience I have ever had and trust me ... I have been in the game a while !!!

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Dive in and start using

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving visibility across our division of all those small things our team members do to help each other as well as offering an easy way for teams to redeem awards for self created team prizes !

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

If Culture is important to you, you should really be considering how you can use something like Karma to encourage the behaviours you're after.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Karmabot as a vehicle to show appreciation within our business. At the end of every month, we give a gift voucher to the person with the most Karma. It has really helped to transform the people aspects of our business, and as a people business, that is super important. Want to create an encouraging, helpful work place, find a carrot(Karma) rather than a stick.

 ### 30. Awesome tool to promote good vibes and stimulate recognition at work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross B. | VP Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

I love some of the very basics:
1. How karma is issued - simple at mention in Slack. Everyone has been able to figure out how to use this
2. The animations in your Karma rewards - people love them, laugh and enjoy them a lot

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Some older features were superfluous. Time tracking was never gonna happen. They've since done away with the idea.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Karma bot has helped us overhaul recognition of each other. It helps feel good when we go out of way to help each other. It has become an integral part of our culture and we love it!

 ### 31. Super convenient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

I like how convenient and easy-to-use Karmabot is.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

You still have to add the bot to certain channels, but I guess that’s a limitation of Slack rather than Karma.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find it easy to thank other people in my Slack channels in a public way.

 ### 32. Really useful tool for encouraging a positive culture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niall F. | Treasuer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Karma Bot's leaderboards, rewards and reinforcement of values really help a culture to thrive where our team actively seek to help each other and the organisation to improve.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

We haven't encountered downsides as of yet.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we used a specific Slack channel to recognize and encourage positive behaviours but often these notes would get lost over time. Karma Bot stores and categorizes them so that over time our team members can see how their behaviours are valued by others.

 ### 33. Love using Karma Bot - it really helps with our remote team members.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas D. | CEO and Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Definitely the ability to reward colleagues. Almost like a virtual high five.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Would love to be able to reward in a more major way.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to clearly reward remote employees for the smaller things.

 ### 34. Sharing Karma around quickly became a habit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

We wanted a way for employees to give quick, easy but officially recognized notes of gratitude. There is no such thing as too many 'thank you's.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

It would be great if Karma could integrate with email (especially Gmail). Leaderboards must go: they encourage only the top 3 people, the 'appreciation board' should show more personal achievements, everyone should be the best in something. Also, it would help if we could integrate in-app Amazon Cards purchasing for Rewards.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

A 1-on-1 demo with Karma representative really helps to set the product right for your business. It can be booked for free at Karma's website.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been running Sliday, a software development company, for almost 10 years now. Running a company is hard by itself. Most of the work is done remotely, we understand the pain.
For a manager, it's almost impossible to keep track of things if there are more than 20 people on your team. Karma made recognition and appreciation simple. All you have to do is to mention someone with a line of text and '++' on Slack channel. Karmabot records thousands of appreciations like that every day. Employees feel recognized. On the other hand, a typical manager will not have time to analyze all those pieces of micro-feedback. Karma bot can collect and process such requests and align them with the company values. At the end of the period, a manager can have a powerful performance report based on the 'crowd-sourced' feedback.

 ### 35. An excellent real-time recognition tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

What's really handy is proving feedback "in-the-moment" without having to wait until the monthly or annual review. Also - no such thing as "too small of a job well done" which is an excellent and fun way to keep the team engaged

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

It would be helpful to have the detailed guide on how to adopt Karma available somewhere, but I guess each company is different. The 1-on-1 demo has sorted it for us.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Just give it a go and see how easy yet powerful Karma is.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a refreshing tool which incorporates upward feedback so my staff are able to provide me with pinpointed comments to improve.

 ### 36. The best tool for motivation and rewarding remote team in Slack!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roman N. | Portfolio, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

Usability, simplicity, leaderboard and gifs)

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

I do like everything and very happy about karmabot.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote team motivation and rewards make team members work a bit extra to be the first one on the karma leaderboard.

 ### 37. Karma Bot With Students

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathaniel P. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Karma?**

In my opinion, the best part is how easy it is to reward points. Anyone in our robotics teams can reward others for what they do and contribute.

**What do you dislike about Karma?**

Currently, there is nothing that I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Karma:**

Give it a try! It has been beneficial to my team and is a fun way to keep track of what people are doing.

**What problems is Karma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have found that Karma bot helps show that people are participating and rewarding them for it.
