What do you like best about Kapwing?

It's somewhat idiot-proof and the learning curve is incredibly shallow. I think they utilize great UX to simplify what used to be really complex tasks. I love that their free tier allows me to do so much. I used to have to jump from imovie to keynote to ezgif in order to make simple videos with audio, but now it literally just takes me 5 minutes to make a video and send it off to a client. What do you dislike about Kapwing?

I don't like the timeline user experience. Trimming audio and video seems a bit rough and I have to frequently zoom into the timeline in order to make strategic clips. I also think that the timeline could have much more functionality such as fading audio. Fading audio is really important in the work I use kapwing for and would make my life a lot easier if that ability was built into the web application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Kapwing:

If you need to frequently return to our projects after a few days, it's best that you use a more premium tier because they lock your projects. This is fine for me, but may not be for others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kapwing solving and how is that benefiting you?

Kapwing is a one stop shop type of application. For my clients, I'm able to take my clients' visuals, add audio and trim the video to the exact length all within a couple of minutes. It takes up 0 space on my computer like all the apps I previously had to use. Teaching others to use kapwing is also incredibly easy. I shot a 5 minute loom video recently and onboarded another graphic designer so now we're making twice as many kaping videos for the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kapwing fail in proyect and support"

What do you dislike about Kapwing?

After starting with Kapwing full of excitement for what it promised, my experience quickly turned disappointing. My first two projects were acceptable, especially the free trial one with watermarks that processed quickly.

Then everything fell apart with my fourth project. The editor would get stuck "thinking" indefinitely, showing "one minute remaining" for hours. I lost all the projects from my second subscription month because I simply couldn't complete them.

Technical support's response was frustratingly slow. Their solution? They offered to finish the project themselves, but the results were terrible. When I requested a refund, they only offered credits for their product - a surreal response considering the software clearly doesn't work.

Why would I want more credits for a service that fails to deliver its basic functionality? Kapwing's customer service is as broken as their video editor. Save your money and time - look elsewhere for your video editing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I initially turned to Kapwing specifically for dubbing capabilities, but the service completely failed me by my fourth video. The editor would get stuck processing indefinitely, displaying "one minute remaining" for hours, making it impossible to complete my projects.

Technical support has been absolutely useless, providing no viable solutions to fix the problems. When I requested a refund for the non-functioning service, they only offered credits for their broken platform - a ridiculous response considering I can't even use what I've already paid for.

What do you like best about Kapwing?

Kapwing is undeniably clever at drawing users in with their appealing branding, and promises of powerful editing tools. Their marketing creates high expectations, making it easy to believe their service will deliver a seamless and professional experience. That's about as good as it gets though. What do you dislike about Kapwing?

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Kapwing. The platform was riddled with technical issues—stalled exports and long delays—that made it nearly impossible to complete my project. When I reached out for support, I found their no-refund policy inflexible and unreasonable, especially since the service failed to meet even basic expectations.

What I find particularly troubling is that Kapwing continues to charge customers for a product that doesn’t deliver as advertised and refuses to take accountability. In my opinion, this practice is unethical. Companies should stand by the quality of their service and offer refunds when customers are genuinely dissatisfied.

While Kapwing tries to emphasize innovation, it feels like they’ve neglected the fundamentals: providing a reliable product and fair treatment of their customers. It is very easy and intuitive, the free edition has some features blocked but the unblocked ones are enough to start Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kapwing?

I like the Kapwing Templates section. It provides thousands of templates designed by professionals and helps us make our video outstanding by simply changing our content with pictures, videos and text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As everything about Kapwing is excellent, I wouldn't say I liked its video editing interface. It's not professional and a little bit difficult to use. Also, I wouldn't say I like its loading speed. What do you like best about Kapwing?

What I like best is that it auto-generates subtitles for my videos with high accuracy. From there, I can easily edit my videos for different social media platforms in a matter of minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
