"Personal Take on the IT Game Changer"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Its multi-factor authentication feature, which consistently receives high ratings for its robustness and reliability. This level of security assurance is crucial for organizations prioritizing the safeguarding of their resources and user identities. Users also appreciate the platform's seamless single sign-on capabilities, which streamline access without compromising security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The management of offboarded users in JumpCloud, noting that suspended users still require a license, which can lead to unnecessary billing. Additionally, there seems to be a desire for more flexibility in license types to accommodate different user categories such as guests, frontline workers, and contractors. This feedback suggests a need for a more nuanced approach to user management and billing structures to cater to diverse organizational requirements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust cloud directory, MDM management, and SSO solution"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

• General ease of use and setup

• Extremely flexible with robust options to manage Macs, PCs, and Linux machines as well as iOS and Android mobile devices

• Fantastic customer support with the ability to both chat with someone and call someone. Chat now support ChatGPT style results (so you can chat at anytime of day), which works surprisingly well.

• Constantly introducing new features and solutions

• Integrates well with existing workflows, including Active Directory and Googel Workspace

• Supports different forms of SSO integration including SAML and JIT provisioning Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

• Initial setup can be a bit daunting, but customer support is helpful

• Current password manager, while functional and secure, leaves a lot to be desired. Speciifcally: the user interface is a bit clunky; there is no native Apple Silicon version of the password manager; search, while functional, is extremely clunky because it doesn't allow you to view a static list of search results, but only a small drop down menu that disappears the minute you click on a result; the browser extension mostly works well, but fails pretty spectacularly on certain websites.

• No easy way to manage printers without either a dedicated on-site print server or a cloud based solution. This means you need either to keep an on-site server (one reason to use JumpCloud is to eliminate the need for any kind of on-site server), or pay for another cloud-based service. "Centralized SSO with Superb Device Management"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like JumpCloud for its flexible SSO integrations with readily available SAML and OIDC Connectors and the custom connectors, which allow easy access to all enterprise applications with single sign-on. JumpCloudGo makes it even better with device-integrated passwordless logins, leading to an easier login experience for users. I appreciate JumpCloud's device-based policies that help me follow cyber governance policies by pushing them to respective devices. The SSO app connectors stand out with pre-configured details and guides, making app configuration easier. The professional services team's support during the setup was incredibly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I haven't really got a complete idea on SaaS management and this is yet to be figured. JumpCloud-based reports on devices should be enhanced, as they do not provide details on devices and policies enforced on them and device groups that they are part of. JumpCloud devices to JumpCloudGo enabled are not available. JumpCloud user reports do not contain manager information, instead, contain manager ID. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized and Efficient Management with JumpCloud"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like how user and machine provisioning in JumpCloud is simple and easy to work with. The ease and speed of the process are especially valuable in a busy day-to-day, streamlining the process. Additionally, I found the initial setup very simple and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Asset management, I believe that if JumpCloud created an asset management system for inventories, it would greatly facilitate things because in the daily IT operation, we don't work only with notebooks and cell phones; we have peripherals, internet networks. If we could have this in JumpCloud, it would be of great value as it would centralize the entire IT operation. Today, asset management is very much based on desktops and smartphones. If we could add other items to users, like mice and keyboards, we could have full visibility of IT assets in one place, in addition to network items with Mikrotik, Unifi, among others. "Strong Cross-Platform Directory & Device Management for Growing Security Teams"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud does a really solid job unifying identity and device management in a way that feels modern and API-driven. For organizations that are cloud-first and don’t want to maintain traditional on-prem AD infrastructure, it provides a clean alternative that supports macOS, Windows, and Linux in a single console.

I especially appreciate the cross-platform support and the ability to tie users to devices, policies, and SSO apps from one directory. The policy engine for password enforcement and device control is straightforward, and the conditional access capabilities are strong for organizations trying to move toward a Zero Trust model.

Implementation is also relatively smooth compared to standing up and maintaining legacy directory infrastructure. Once agents are deployed, ongoing management becomes predictable and scalable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Like most platforms trying to be both directory + MDM + IAM, some areas feel deeper than others. Advanced MDM workflows, especially on macOS, can feel less mature than more Mac-native tools. Reporting can also require some digging depending on the visibility you’re looking for.

Pricing can scale quickly as you layer on features, especially if you are using it heavily for SSO, device management, and directory services together. Larger environments may want to carefully model licensing and feature tiers before committing long term.

Support has generally been responsive, but highly technical troubleshooting sometimes requires escalation, which can slow things down when you’re dealing with time-sensitive endpoint issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Unifying Google Workspace, Macs, and Windows"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Honestly, it's the cross-platform device management. Google's admin console is fine for what it does, but it doesn't really help us manage our customers' Mac and Windows fleets. JumpCloud steps in perfectly, letting us tie the device login directly to the user's Google Workspace credentials. For our users, it means one less password to remember, and for us, it's a single place to manage policies Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I wouldn't say I dislike it, but the area I'm most excited to see grow is the Mac device management. It's solid for basic policies and tying the login to Google, but it's not quite as deep as some dedicated Apple MDMs. I'm looking forward to more granular policy controls and software deployment features to make it a true one-stop-shop for us. "Accessible Free Trial and Flexible Permissions for Secure, Efficient Access Control"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like best about JumpCloud is that it offers a free trial for small teams, which makes it very accessible for startups and growing companies to get started without high upfront costs. I also appreciate its flexible permission configuration, which allows administrators to easily customize access controls based on different roles and needs. This flexibility helps improve both security and operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

One thing I dislike about JumpCloud is that administrator seats are also billed, which can increase overall costs. In addition, when a user account is suspended and access is disabled, billing still continues. The charges only stop after the user is completely deleted, which can be inconvenient and lead to unnecessary expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Managing Devices and Access in the Cloud Era – A JumpCloud Admin's Perspective"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

As a JumpCloud admin, I rely heavily on its cloud-native directory platform to manage our distributed environment efficiently and securely. The ability to configure and control Device Groups allows us to segment and enforce policies based on organizational roles and risk profiles, improving our operational structure and endpoint hygiene.

We're leveraging RADIUS-as-a-Service to authenticate users on our network infrastructure, which eliminates the complexity of managing on-prem NPS servers and ensures secure Wi-Fi and VPN access using centralized credentials. With Policy Management, I can deploy and enforce device security baselines—such as screen lock timers, encryption, and firewall settings—at scale across macOS and Windows systems, using templated or custom policies.

Mobile Device Management (MDM) gives us full lifecycle control of our Apple devices, enabling zero-touch enrollment, configuration profiles, and remote wipe capabilities. Meanwhile, Software Management allows us to automate package deployments and updates across fleets, drastically reducing time spent on manual installs and patching.

We’ve also structured our access model using User and System Groups, which simplifies the application of SSO, command scripts, and policies with granular control. JumpCloud’s architecture supports our Zero Trust initiatives, while significantly reducing the complexity and cost associated with traditional domain controllers or hybrid AD setups.

Overall, JumpCloud empowers our IT operations with scalable, policy-driven management, making identity and device control seamless across our hybrid cloud environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud is excellent for unified identity and device management across platforms, but it still lacks:

Granular admin roles

Deep MDM/MAM features

Enterprise-level compliance tooling

Advanced analytics and real-time monitoring

It’s perfect for cloud-first, mid-size teams with mixed OS environments—but large enterprises or orgs with heavy compliance or Apple/Windows specialization may need complementary tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Cloud Identity & Device Management with Centralized Control Across OSes"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like best about JumpCloud is that it combines identity management and device management into a single, cloud-based platform. It makes it easy to manage users, enforce security policies, and control access across Windows, macOS, and Linux without needing on-prem infrastructure. It’s especially helpful for mixed or remote environments where centralized control and visibility are important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

What I dislike about JumpCloud is that some key features—like user provisioning from external IdPs—aren’t as seamless as they are in dedicated IAM tools, and certain workflows can feel fragmented compared to more mature platforms. The UI can also be a bit overwhelming at first, and when you get into advanced configurations, it sometimes takes a lot of digging to find the right settings or you end up needing to use the API. Overall, it’s a powerful product, but it isn’t always as intuitive or streamlined as it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Identity Management with Seamless Integration"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like JumpCloud because it allows me to centralize the management of user identity and devices for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The integration and focus of everything in one place is great, making it easy to use the installed agent for asset management and tracking equipment without extra systems. The cross-platform device manager and asset management features are convenient, and the secure remote assistance simplifies remote connections. Automating processes, especially for offboarding, is really helpful, and it makes my life very easy since I don't need to connect to multiple systems—just one. The platform is intuitive, and while it's not very easy, it's not complicated either, and the account manager's assistance is a plus. Compared to Okta, I find JumpCloud to be better and cheaper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I don't have a specific complaint about JumpCloud. Most of the time when I'm complaining about something, I just contact their support. And within a couple of hours or a day or two, they're solving the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth Onboarding with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really like the admin access per device feature in JumpCloud; it's my favorite. It's super easy to use, and having a timer makes it a much smoother experience compared to older systems. I also appreciated how smooth the initial setup was; we had just a single person deploy it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I find smart groups should be more dynamic so we can have some creative freedoms on how we send out commands. This would also enhance the MDM functionality. Allowing a lot of conditions like where a user was enrolled, by what OS they have, what processor type, user deployment, and department deployment, similar to what Jamf does really well, would help grab more customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
