## JAMS Reviews
  ### 1. Setup Was a Nightmare—Needs Better Migration Tools, Color Options, and Forecasting

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | Senior Schedular, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I do prefer the manual aspect of JAMS, and once JAMS was setup the jobs and sequences run well.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

In the past , the setup was a nightmare we were told going from UC4 to JAMS there would be a automatic way to pull over all the info and that was not able to happen. We do have people in or organization that are color blind and there is no way to change colors in JAMS. We need a forecast in JAMS, and The History tab of a job window should include jobs that are currently running. The History tab of a job window should include jobs that are currently running.
Add a refresh button so you don’t have to close and entirely re-open the window to see a new entry. This would help with requests for a bunch of small jobs in quick succession instead of tracking them all in the Monitor view.
We would like the JAMS emails to include the ServiceNow incident number if a ticket is created. Right now JAMS sends an email to ServiceNow to create a ticket and one to support without this number. Having the number would allow for an easier correlation between the systems.
The border colors of the jobs (red, green & yellow) are impossible for operators that are color-blind to see.
In the monitor view when a job is abended can we have a continue added to the list to skip it there from the list view
Search for use – to see exactly where a job sits in a sequence
In Advanced Search - add where the job lives in Job Definitions (full path)
Submit Job from Job Properties
Would like a better zoom Tool: When viewing in Sequence or complex job, anything other than 100% view is blurry.
In our old tool we had the ability to take a sequence or job and select a date and time in the future to see how that sequence or job will run on that date or time.
History does not seem to be keeping the correct amount of runs.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As of right now JAMS is a step down from UC4 that we moved away from.

  ### 2. JAMS is our most important automation solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian C. | OPS Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS is easy to use. In our line of work, date ranges and due times can vary greatly, and its ability to understand natural-language expressions and convert them into valid date values has resolved an enormous number of issues for us.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Recently, I’ve been trying to use the dashboards and reports available in JAMS, but I’m finding them difficult to understand and navigate. I did locate a guide, yet it quickly stopped matching what I could actually see in JAMS, which made it hard to follow and apply.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We produce and deliver a wide range of customer data extracts to our clients and third parties. For years, all of these reports were created manually, until JAMS came into the picture. Since then, we’ve used the scheduler to automate those processes, as well as to transfer information to customers, connect to remote servers, validate the quality of the information, and send notifications when something goes wrong.

**Official Response from Louis Diaz:**

> Thanks for your feedback. Considering your experience with the tool, I would like to connect you with our product team to dive deeper. If you are open to it, please send an email to this address - productmanager@fortra.com

  ### 3. Saved us from hiring a full-time automation engineer for gems website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Running a growing gemstone business means we have tons of daily background tasks, like updating our live inventory and syncing orders. We used the JAMS Resident Engineer service to help us build out these automated jobs. I love that we could just bring in their expert for a few hours a month to work right alongside us. They knew exactly how to set things up fast, so my team didn't have to spend weeks learning the software from scratch.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It is a bit frustrating that the monthly support hours do not roll over. If we buy the basic 40-hour plan but only use half of it because we are busy dealing with a big jewelry sale, we just lose that paid time. For a smaller business, having flexible hours that carry over to the next month would be much better.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gave us expert help exactly when we needed it to get our backend running smoothly. It saves us from having to hire a full-time automation engineer, which lets us focus on sourcing and selling gems instead of fixing server errors.

  ### 4. Efficient Task Scheduling and Automation with an Easy, User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I love this platform for its capability to scheduling of task efficiently. Its capability to automate workload improves the productivity of the organization. Monitoring can also be easily done in this platform which enables us to identify the progress of task and also look after the redundant task. The workflow of the task can be check easily in this platform from time to time. Frankly saying jobs can be easily launched which is really a good feature of this platform. Other than this Jobs can also be manually created, edited and submitted in this platform enhancing the functionality of this platform. The Audit trails can also be generated with a single click, this greatly enhance the accountability of this platform. One part which I felt that I should mention is that this platform allows creating mini apps for users with less technical experience, this allows to reduce complexity and improve performance while using this platform. This platform can also integrate with major other platform like SAP, IBM etc. I also have to admit that this platform have a user friendly interface and the onboarding process was easy too.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I love most part of this platform but I wish that that desktop application could work more flawlessly without any lag. I felt the lag mostly when I clicked the configuration tab. The platform can also be used more efficiently with some training given a little complexity for non technical users. Other than this I also feel that more work can be done to give a better user interface. An Active AI to actively assist user in the dashboard would really be helpful. The pricing of this platform may be made more moderate to better fit for small and medium enterprise.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform allows managing of workloads related to loan by creating a process right from application to disbursement. Its Audit log assist a lot i fixing accountability which ensures more security to the task done. Tracking of various accounts and identifying the statuses or prioritizing task is also possible with this platform.

  ### 5. Robust Automation with Flaws in Web Client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rashaad N. | Infrastructure Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS acts as the central automation software for our most critical business automations and batch processes. I like how it reliably runs jobs on a schedule and offers great error handling and logging. The ability to securely reuse and share secrets across multiple scripts is very beneficial. It's more robust and flexible than task scheduler or cron jobs. I appreciate the observability and ease of building custom reporting using the built in APIs. The agent we installe on desktops works well, making the software convenient to use.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I feel like the web client's UI is clunky and not really usable. It could be the central hub for how people work with the software if it was better. But the fat client installed on desktops works well.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS reliably runs job schedules with great error handling, logs securely, and lets me reuse and share secrets. It's more robust than task scheduler, offers observability, and has easy custom reporting. It provides information digestibly in Power BI, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

  ### 6. Reliable Task Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I really like how reliable JAMS is. Once something is set up, it just works. It allows me to schedule things like SQL queries to run on a schedule. For one critical report, I need to take a snapshot of a dataset every week on Monday at 6am, and I cannot do that without JAMS. The initial setup was quite simple for me because we have a team responsible for JAMS who set everything up and taught me how to use it.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Some of the settings in the version we use aren't as intuitive as I'd like. For example, my critical snapshot wasn't taken on two seemingly-random Mondays. It took me months to figure out that it was only set to run on workdays, meaning if Monday is a holiday, the automation won't run. I'm not even sure how JAMS determines if a Monday is a holiday, but it was not easy to figure out. I'd also like to run Python scripts through JAMS, which is possible, but my organization doesn't allow it, so I have to use PowerShell instead.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JAMS to automate tasks like scheduling SQL queries, providing reliable performance. It's crucial for time-sensitive tasks like weekly data snapshots, which I can't manage without JAMS.

  ### 7. JAMS Feels Like a Virtual Secretary with Powerful Cross-Platform Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louie G. | Lead Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The highest praise I’ve received came from one of my clients, who told me he had called earlier and left a message with my secretary. I don’t have a secretary, but he didn’t notice the difference, which says a lot about JAMS. I really appreciate JAMS’s cross-platform capabilities for scheduling tasks and managing complex workflows, and it fits smoothly into the way I work.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing negative to say about JAMS; its performance has been truly incredible. It provided me with a personalized, comprehensive solution that covered all my needs, and it also gave us an approach we can adjust and modify as we continue using the service.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS is exactly what we needed, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems. Since we started using this platform, we’ve been able to capture all of our leads so far. It has also helped reduce downtime and cleared up our doubts, so we can feel more confident that tasks will run as scheduled and in the correct order.

  ### 8. Intuitive Platform with Granular Restarts for Better Control and Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richano H. | Lead Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The platform is very intuitive, which makes both implementation and migration straightforward. It gives me better visibility, control, and flexibility when managing complex programming tasks. I also appreciate that the restart options are granular enough that I don’t have to rerun the entire nightly process if only a single branch fails.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing bad to say about it. It perfectly suits our needs and helps us streamline repetitive tasks like data processing, report generation, and system integrations, while also reducing the risk of errors that can come with doing the same work over and over.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as an indispensable tool. Before, we spent more time checking whether agents were active than actually improving our automation. JAMS pushed me to stop thinking in terms of “servers” and start thinking in terms of “process flow,” which has been a real shift in how I approach the work.

  ### 9. Solid Airflow Alternative with Straightforward Reporting and End-to-End Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asha H. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

It’s a solid alternative to the Airflow systems on the market. I like the straightforward reporting approach, and it’s easy to use for both technical and non-technical employees. I also appreciate that the whole process is automated within the system—from job activation to record generation, as well as managing dependent jobs.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The implementation was fairly straightforward, and the graphical workflow visualization makes it easy for both technical and business users to follow and monitor complex processes. I don’t need to contact customer support often, but when I do, they respond quickly.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It handles complex dependencies very well, and once you get familiar with its structure, managing tasks becomes quite straightforward. It does exactly what it’s meant to do. Its strong scalability lets us run more workflows at the same time, and it has helped us significantly reduce our workload as well as our staffing needs.

  ### 10. Flexible, Stable Task Scheduling with Fast, Helpful Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristiaan D. | Senior Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS is a comprehensive task-scheduling tool that has been very useful for our IT services team. Its flexibility supports a wide range of use cases for us, which makes it easy to adapt to different needs. I also appreciate how straightforward the data access is: we can run SQL queries to manage it easily, and the table structure is clear, easy to understand, and readily accessible.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

We are very satisfied with the JAMS product and the team overall. I honestly have nothing negative to say—the product is very stable, and the customer support team responds quickly when issues come up and provides helpful assistance.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the JAMS task scheduler manage and monitor our jobs is, to date, the best solution we’ve found for batch processing when working across multiple servers. In addition to conditional task execution, we also rely on it for workflow orchestration in more complex processes, where one task can watch others and then either continue the main process or stop it when needed.
